8/28/72 <br />2405 Kenwood Mr. Charles Hahn appeared for Marvin L. Anderson and <br />Isabel Anderson who were requested to come before the Board to show <br />cause why the structure at 2405 Kenwood should not be demolished. Mr. <br />Hahn stated the building had been worked on but it was impossible to <br />rehabilitate it and he had no objections to it being demolished. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized to seek <br />bids for the demolition of the structure. <br />11181 North Hill Street Emily Archer having been requested to appear <br />before the Board to show cause why the structure at 11181 North Hill <br />Street should not be demolished, and Emily Archer not having appeared, <br />now upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed is authorized <br />to seek bids for the demolition of the building. <br />2002-2006 Linden Avenue Ervin Cudowski and Mary Cudowski, 14th Street, <br />Elkhart, Indiana, were requested to appear before the Board to show <br />cause why the structure at 2002-2006 Linden Avenue should not be demol- <br />ished, and Ervin cudowski and Mary Cudowski now having appeared stated <br />they cannot rehabilitate the building and wish i.t,demolished. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized to seek <br />bids for the demolition of the structure. <br />;T-4 <br />1820 South St. Joseph Street Carl F. Leippert and Flossie I. Leippert <br />V <br />having been requested to appear before the Board to show cause why <br />the structure at 1820 S. St. Joseph Street should not be demolished <br />and Mrs. Leippert having called to say she had contracted with a <br />private demolition firm to have the work done, Mr. Steed now states <br />that this was stated some time ago but the building has not been <br />touched. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was author- <br />ized to seek bids for the demolition of the structure at 1820 S. St. <br />Joseph Street. <br />114 N. Jackson Street Frank P. Shula having been requested to appear <br />before the Board to show cause why the structure at 114 North Jackson <br />should not be demolished and Mr. Shula not having appeared, Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed is now authorized to seek <br />bids for the demolition of the structure. <br />513 North St. Louis Blvd. Margaret L. Boits having been requested to <br />appear before the Board to show cause why the structure at 513 North <br />St. Louis Blvd. should not be demolished, and Margaret Bolts not <br />having appeared, Mr. Steed was instructed to contact Mr. Walter <br />Boits and the matter was continued for one week. <br />630-6302 North Hill Street Kenneth W. Waterson and Rose Edith <br />Waterson were requested to appear before the Board to show cause why <br />the structure at 630-6302 should not be demolished, and Neither <br />Mr. or Mrs. Waterson having appeared Mr. Steed was authorized to <br />seek bids for the demolition of the structure. Mr. Jon Carpenter <br />appeared before the Board and stated the neighbors wished the house <br />demolished because it has been in bad condition for five years. <br />1205 Dunham Street Mr. Joseph Becchelli, 825 S. Liberty Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana appeared before the Board.as requested and stated he is <br />working on the house at 1205 Dunham Street and hopes to rent it when <br />it is completed. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />granted hif thirty days in which to show his intent and to cooperate <br />with the building department. <br />140 North Shore Drive the matter of the sub -standard condition of <br />the structure at 140 North Shore Drive having been continued to this <br />date, the Board, upon motion made, seconded and carried, now authorizes <br />Mr.,Steed to seek bids for the demolition of the property. <br />515 North Hill Street The matter of the sub -standard condition of the <br />structure of 515 North Hill Street having been continued until this <br />date, Mr. Steed now informs the Board that the building is being dem- <br />olished by private contract.. <br />
