�i <br />8/14/72 <br />1820 S. St. Joseph Street Mr. Steed asked permission.to bring . <br />Carl F. F, Flossie Leippert before the Board to show cause why the <br />structure at 1820 S/ St. Joseph should not be demolished. Upon <br />motion made,.seconded and carried, permission was granted. <br />202 East Calvert Street Mr. Steed asked permission to bring William <br />C. and Jean Brooks and Lee Barnhart before the Board to show cause <br />why the structure at 202..East Calvert Street should not be demolished. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, permission was granted. <br />1116 Whiteman Court Ella Snyder had informed Mr. Steed that she <br />has no objection to the structure at 1116 Whiteman Court being demolished <br />and Mr. Steed was authorized to seek bids for the demolition. <br />John Hall Carpenter, 706 North Hill Street appeared before the Board <br />to voice his approval of the demolition of the sub standard buildings <br />on North Hill Street and North St. Louis Boulevard. <br />2405 Kenwood Avenue Mr. Steed asked permission to bring Marvin L. <br />.4v <br />and Isabel Anderson before the Board to show cause why the structure <br />at 2405 Kenwood Avenue should not be demolished. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was granted permission to write <br />[z, <br />Marvin L. and Isabel Anderson. <br />239 East Broadway This )being the date set for Andrew Murdock to <br />appear before the Board to show cause why the structure at 239 East <br />Broadway should not be demolished and Andrew Murdock not having <br />appeared, the Board, Upon motion made, seconded and carried, now <br />instructs Mr. Steek to seek bids for the demolition of the structure. <br />The certified letter set to Mr. Murdock was returned undelivered. <br />1621 Sibley Street Edith Archer not having appeared before the <br />Board as she was requested to show cause why the structure at 1621 <br />Sibley Street should not be demolished, the Board now, upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, instructs Mt. Steed to seek bids for <br />the demolition of the structure. <br />234 East Milton Street This being the date set for Robert D. & Virginia <br />Arndt to appear before the Board to show cause why the structure at <br />234 East Milton Street should not be demolished and they did not put <br />in an appearance, the Board now, upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />instructs Mr. Steed to seek bids for the demolition. <br />606 Pennsylvania This being the date set for receiving bids for the <br />demolition of the structure at 606 Pennsylvania Avenue, the following <br />bids were opened and read: Non collusion affidavits were found to <br />be in proper order: <br />Midwest Excavating Company,), $671.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking 700.00 <br />B & J Excavating (B. Kirk) 865.00 <br />Bryant Excavating 700.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was awarded to Midwest <br />Excavating Company on its low bid of $671.00. Mrs. Fanchon Eshenbaugh <br />was present at the meeting and requested the Board not to award the bid <br />as she has not settled with her Insurance Company. Mr. Steed was direct- <br />ed to ask the contractors to hold up the demolition for one week, so she <br />can contact the Insurance Company. <br />239 East Broadway A registered letter was sent to Andrew Murdock 1626 <br />Florence Avenue, which was not delivered, or acdepted. Mr. Steed <br />recommended that the structure be demolished. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized to seek bids for the demolition <br />of the structure at 239 East Broadway. <br />
