LJ <br />1 <br />1 <br />8/7/72 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request <br />and granted permission for Sergeant Louis M. Kujawski to attent the <br />Polygraph Seminar. <br />The chief presented the following letter: <br />City of South Bend <br />Board of Public Works <br />Attention: Charles A. <br />County City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />and Safety <br />Sweeney, Jr. <br />August 7, 1972 <br />This office has this date, submitted under separate cover, charges <br />formally lodged agains Patrolman John Evans Farr who presently stands <br />under temporary suspension by this Office since date of 8-3-72. <br />Patrolman Farr is charged specifically with infractions of the General <br />Rules and Regulations of the South Bend Police Department, to -wit: <br />3.7,3.9 and 4.18 based upon 4.50 for clarification. <br />The Board of Public Works and Safety is respectfully requested to set <br />a hearing date following an arraignment date ant to notffy Mr. <br />Phillip C. Potts, Attorney at Law, of 611 J.M.S. Building, City, who has advised <br />that he will represent Patrolman Farr in this charge.. <br />Respectfully yours, <br />s/ Robert W. Seals <br />Chief of Police <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board set Monday, August <br />14, 1972 at 9:30 A.M. as the time and date for arraignment and to set <br />for the hearing of charges against Patrolman Farr. <br />SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSIONS <br />Special Police Commissions were approved, upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried for Joseph Kopec and Vincent Koziatek. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BOND <br />A special Police Bond was approved, upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried for Gray Thompson, employed by Drewrys Ltd. <br />APPLICATIONS FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following applications for <br />the Police Department were filed and ordered sent to the Personnel Department: <br />Johnnie Turner Theodore Dembinski <br />James M. Griffin <br />COLUSPON REPORT FILED <br />A Collision report for the month of June, 1972 was received and <br />ordered filed. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Mr. Isaiah Steed, Sub -Standard Director was present and the following <br />matters pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />
