8/7/72 <br />REQUEST FOR OWNERS OF SUB -STANDARD PROPERTIES TO APPEAR BEFORE BOARD <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved <br />the request of the Sub -Standards Director for the following persons <br />to appear before the Board on August 21, 1972, to show cause, if any <br />they have, *hy the following listed properties should not be demolished: <br />513 N. Hill Street Patrick Brennan, Executor for the <br />Estate of Clarence Pierce <br />515 N. Hill Street Anthony P and Dolores Sergio <br />535 S. Taylor Street Esther Frank Litow <br />1813 West Sample Street Mr. Clem Winkowski appeared before the Board <br />and stated that he had contracts signed to have the building repaired. <br />The Board instructed Mr. Steed to continue with efforts to have the <br />family now living in the house reloacted, and upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, instructed Mr. Steed to seek bids for the demolition of <br />the property if it is not complete rehabilitated within two weeks. <br />1123 West Dubai] Mr. Winkowski also appeared in this matter for Karl <br />Dubai] who is protesting that the bid price for demolition is too high. <br />The Board informed Mr. Winkowski that Mr. Dubai] had many chances to <br />come before the Board to discuss the matter of the demolition of the <br />property at 1123 West Dubai) and failed to do so and it is now too <br />late to do anything about it. <br />140 North Shore Drive This matter was continued to this date for the <br />purpose of learning if the house had been sold to new owners.and would <br />be rehabilitated. Upon Mr. Steed's recommendation the matter was con- <br />tinued for one weak. <br />BIDS FOR DEMOLITION OF SUB -STANDARD PROPERTIES <br />118 Bowman Street This being the date set for receiving bids for the <br />demolition of the structure at 118 Bowman Street, the following bids <br />were opened and read: <br />Bryant Excavating & Demolition $800.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $1,000.00 <br />Non -collusion affidavit was found to be in proper order. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and unanimously carried, the bid was held in abeyance for <br />one week. <br />10020AK STREET This being the date set for receiving bids for the <br />demolition of the structure at 1002 Oak Street, the following bidswere <br />opened and read: <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $1,100.00 <br />B & J Excavating Company 535.00 <br />Midwest Demolition 870.00 <br />Bryant Excavating & Demo. 1,000.00 <br />Non -collusion affidavits were found to be in proper order. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the bids were ordered held for one week. <br />1207 West Jefferson This being the date set for receiving bids for the <br />demolition of the structure at 1207 West Jefferson, the following bids <br />were opened and read: Non -collusion affidavits were found to be in <br />proper order: <br />B & J Demolition $840.00 <br />Midwest 997.00 <br />Bryant 750.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company 1,000.00 <br />Opon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the bids were ordered <br />held for one week. All of the above bids were feferred to the Legal <br />Department for study. <br />j <br />
