395 <br />7/31/72 <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected <br />by such vacation. <br />Lot 8 of Oak Park 2nd Addition and a part of <br />unplotted land bounded on the North by Dubail <br />Avenue, on the West by High Street and on the <br />South By Dayton Street <br />Total net benefits $00000 <br />Total net damages #00.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board adopted said <br />assessment roll and set 9:30 A.M., August 21, 1972, Room 1308 <br />County City Building, South Send, as the date, time and place for <br />hearing all persons interested in or affected by such vacation. <br />HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3363,1972 - ALKEY EAST OF PRAIRIE <br />July 24, 1972 having been set as the date for holding a hearing on <br />Vacation Resolution No. 3363,1972 for the vacation of the first North - <br />South a 1 l ey East of Prairie Avenue., running from Indiana Avenue South <br />to the first East-West alley, and the hearing not being held on <br />�+ that.date, hearing is now held. <br />V <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice on the 14th day <br />Of July, .1972 and on the 21st day of July, 1972 in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri County News and same were found to be sufficient. <br />No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having <br />been filed, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, said <br />Resolution adopted on the loth day of July, 1972 is ratified and <br />confirmed and said alley vacated. <br />The City Engineer is directed to prepare an assessment roll showing <br />the award of damages and the assessment of benefits to the surround- <br />ing properties. <br />APPROVAL OF CONTRACT BETWEEN CITY OF SOUTH BEND AND TENECH <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved a contract <br />between the.Ci.ty of South Bend, through its Board of Public Works and <br />Safety, and TenEch Environmental Consultants for the preparation of <br />an Operation and Maintenance Manual for the new additions presently <br />being constructed to the South Bend Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />LETTER FROM SIDw S PLUMBING & HEATING COMPANY <br />A letter was received from Sid's Plumbing S Heating Company informing <br />the Board that as of August 1, 1972 the rate for Journeyman Plumbers <br />will be $14.00 per hour and Plumbers Helpers will be $10.00 per hour. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, this was ordered filed. <br />LETTER FROM C. EDWARD WRAY - WEEDS <br />A letter was received from C. Edward Wray, 1437 E. Monroe Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana complaining that the Board had given publicity <br />to the fact that weeds on the corner of Rockne Drive and Madison <br />Street had not been cut, when in fact they had been cut. This <br />was referred to the Health Department. <br />NOTICE FROM HEALTH DEPARTMENT RELATIVE TO WEEDS <br />Notices.were received from the Health Department in regard to city <br />owned property where weeds have been allowed to grow. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried this was referred to the Street Depart- <br />ment with ordered to have the weeds cut. <br />
