7/31/72 <br />39 <br />1 <br />1 <br />1123 East Donald Street This being the date set for receiving bids <br />for the demolition of the structure at 1123 East Donald Street, and <br />only one bid having been received, the following bid was opened and <br />read after determining that the non -collusion affidavit was in proper <br />order: <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $500.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board awarded the bid for <br />the demolition to the O'Neal Trucking Company. <br />7292 Rush Street This being the date set for receiving bids for <br />the demolition of the structure at 7292 Rush Street, and only one <br />bid having been received, the following bid was opened and read <br />after determinging that the non -collusion affidavit was in proper <br />order: <br />O'Neal Trucking Company <br />$875.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid for the demolition of <br />the structure at 729+_Bush Street was awarded to the O'Neal Trucking <br />Company <br />COMPLAINT OF 535 SOUTH TAYLOR STREET Mr. Edward Chapleau, Attorney <br />representing the Claeys Candy Company appeared before the Board to <br />complain about the sub -standard condition of the structure at 535 <br />South Taylor Street, it being the building next door to his clients. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was referred to <br />Mr. Steed for investigation and report. <br />He also complained about the condition of an automobile repair shop <br />on the Northeast corner of Taylor and South Street which is said is <br />degenerating into a junk yard. Mr. West said the West Side Auto <br />Repair had been given a Cease and Desist order about two weeks ago, <br />and if they do not do so it will be referred to the Legal Department. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was referred to <br />the Legal Department for study. <br />COMPLAINT ABOUT WHITEFORD LEASING AND PENN CENTRAL RAILROAD <br />Mr. Edward Petrowski, 2021 West Sample Street appeared before the <br />Board to complain that the Whiteford Leasing Company, which is direct- <br />ly across from him, does not have a paved yard and trucks have made <br />ruts which cause a considerable amount of dust. He also said that <br />after a rain, dirt and debris flow across the sidewalk and clog the <br />sewers. Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board directed <br />the Clerk to write to Whiteford Leasing requiring someone from their <br />company to appear before the Board at their next regular meeting. <br />He also complained about the Penn -Central Railroad leaving diesel <br />engines run all right in the rear of the National Biscuit Company, <br />which is next door to him and is very annoying. The Clerk was directed <br />to write a letter asking the Penn -Central Railroad to desist. <br />PETITION TO VACATE MARSHALL STREET DISMISSED. <br />A letter was received from Robert E. Zimmerman, Attorney for the <br />Osteopathic Hospital requesting dismissal of the pttition to vacate <br />Marshall Street from Holiday Drive to 26th Street poojected. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the Board granted the request and <br />dismissed.the petition, and ordered the remainder of the costs re- <br />funded. <br />
