I.39 7/31/72 530 South Fellows Street Walter Rice, Attorney, appeared before the Board with the owner of the property at 530 South Fellows Street, Ethel Anne Rice, and stated the Federal Housing Authority has a five year lease on the property. He asked for a continuance of 30 days so he can confer with the Housing Authority. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued for thirty days. 124 East Elder Street Forrest Ginz, Attorney appeared before the Board and requested a continuance of two weeks. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request was granted. 608 East Ohio Street, Harry D. Brooks having been requested to come before the Board, appeared before the Board and informed them that he is waiting for an insurance settlement on the property at 608 East Ohio Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the property. 1318 S. Rush Street Mrs. Doris M. Rouch, owner of the property, appeared before the Board and said she would like the city to have the property demolished. Upon jetion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the property. 1135 East Madison Mr. Steed informed the Board that he had received a letter from Mr. Leo Ritchey stating that he was not able to be in town by this date, and that he was waiting for an insurance settle- ment, and"%sked for a continuance. Mr. Monroe Henry, .the person who is buying the property on a land contract also appeared before the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board directed Mr. Steed to authorize bids for the demolition of the property and directed the Clerk to write to Mr. Ritchey telling him to get in touch witli ffie Board as soon as he returns to South Bend. 1813 Westr, Sample Street Mr. Clem Winkowski, 801 West LaSalle Street, called the Board and requested an extension of twenty to thirty days on the rehabilitation of the structure at 1813 West Sample Street. 7Mr. Steed informed the Board he had made an investiga- tion of the property and there has been very little work done. He said the electricity had been turned on to help get the work done, but Mr. Winkowski had not followed through. He stated the property was unfit for human habitation, and the Board, upon motion made, seconded and carried, directed Mr. Steed to.get the people relocated and notify the owners. 606 Pennsylvania Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the property at 606 Pennsylvania Avenue. 209 Elder Street This being the date set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structure at 209 Elder Street, and only one bid having been received, the following bid was opened and read: The non -collusion affidavit was found to be in proper order: O'Neal Trucking Company $975.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award for the bid for demolition was made to O'Neal Trucking Company. 600 Crescent Street This being the date set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structure at 608 Crescent Street, and only, one bid having been received, the 4ollowing bid was opened.and read after determing that the non -collusion affidavit was in proper order: O'Neal Trucking Company $500.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was awarded to the O'Neal Trucking Company. 1 1 1
