7/31/72 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT <br />Mr. Forrest R. West, Building Commissioner appeared before the Board <br />and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />HOUSE MOVING - <br />Mr. West presented a request to move a house from 131 East Haney <br />Street to 507 South 27th Street, The owners Mr. & Mrs. Ervin <br />Lewis were also presett. Mr. West informed the Board that adjacent <br />owners have been notified of proposed house move. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board accepted the <br />recommendation of Mr. West and approved the house moveing. <br />SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Mr. Isaiah Steed, Sub -Standard Director, appeared before the Board <br />and matters pertaining to his department were discussed as follows: <br />234 East Milton Street Mr. Steed asked permission to bring the <br />owners of the structure at 234 East Milton Street before the Board <br />�+ to show cause why the building should not be demolished. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was granted permission to <br />bring Robert D. & Virginia Arndt before the Board. <br />1517 West Liston Street Mr. Steed stated the owners of the structure <br />at 1517 Liston Street wished the property demolished, so upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, the Board authorized Mr. Steed to seek <br />bids for the demolitiontof the building. <br />2505 West Linden Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. <br />Steed was authorized to seek bids for the structure at 2505 West <br />Linden Avenue. <br />1621 Sibley Street Mr. Steed asked permission to bring the owners <br />of the structure at 1621 Sibley Street before the Board to show <br />cause why the building should not be demolished. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized to bring Edith Archer <br />before the Board. <br />239 East Broadway Mr. Steed asked permission to bring the owners <br />of the property at 239 East Broadway before the Board to show cause <br />why the building should not be demolished. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carded Mr. Steed was authorized to bring Andrew Murdock before <br />the Board. <br />713 Clinton Street The heirs of Luella L Roberts having been requested <br />to appear before the Board to show cause why the structure at 713 <br />Clinton Street should not be demolished, Mr. Joseph Andrew Schoppe <br />called the office.and said he had no interest in the matter. Eugene <br />Thornberg and his attorney, Harry Heppenheimer, appeared before the <br />Board and requested a continuance bedause they are awaiting an Insur- <br />ance settlement. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed <br />was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the property which <br />will give the heirs two weeks to get a settlement. <br />201-203 E. Elder Street Nellie Laughunn having informed the Board <br />that she wishes to donate this property to the City, upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized to seek bids <br />for the demolition of the property at 201-203 E. Elder Street and <br />the matter was rfiferred to the Legal Department. <br />
