3840 <br />7/24/72 <br />118 East Bowman Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />authorized Mr. Steed to seek bids for the demolith©n of the structure <br />at 118 East Bowman Street <br />656 Diamond Avenue' This was the date set for receiving bids for the <br />demolition of the structure at 656 Diamond Avenue, but Mr. Steed in- <br />formed the Board that the structure was b6199 demolished privately <br />by Jerry Davis. Mr. Steed is to keep it under surveillance. <br />1002 Oak Street - 2206 S. William Street These were set to receive <br />bids for demolition on this date, but Mr. Steed informed the Board <br />that they are being demolished privately by Jerry Davis. <br />Mr. Steed was instructed to write to Jerry Davis telling him that he <br />must clean up the property, put in fill and sow grass, just as though <br />he had received the contracts on bid from the city. <br />1618 Dunham Street This being the date set for receiving bids for <br />the demolition of the structure at 1618 Dunham Street, and only one <br />bid having been received, it was opened and read as follows: <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $1,000.00 <br />This being the only bid it was awarded to the O'Neal Trucking Company;.;° <br />upon motion made, seconded and carried. Non -collusion affidavit was <br />found to be in proper order. <br />114 North Adams This being the date set for receiving bids for the <br />demolition of the structure at 114 North Adams Street, and only one <br />bid having been received it was opened and read as follows: Non - <br />collusion affidavit was found to be in proper order. <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $740.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the bid was <br />awarded to O'Neal Trucking Company. <br />606 East Pennsylvania Mr. Fanchon W. Eshenbaugh appeared before the <br />Board to inform them that she has not as yet received a settlement from <br />the Insurance Company. on her property. <br />1320 East Cedar Street Hiram Bonds, 1316 East Cedar Street appeared <br />before the Board to inform them he is fixing up the property at 1320 <br />East Cedar Street. He has cleaned up the property and replaces the <br />doors. Mr. Steed was directed to keep the property under surveillance. <br />2318 Elwood Avenue Mr. & Mrs. Edward Szczniak appeared before the <br />Board in responce to a letter requesting their appearance. Mr. Szczniak <br />stated he had tried to do everything requested of him by the city, but <br />had not been able to get a contractor to pave his parking lot as yet. <br />He was advised to put some sort of barricade around his property to keep <br />the trucks from running over the curb, and to place receptacles outside <br />for debris, as well as to discourage his customers from using other <br />peoples yards. Also he was advised to have a shield placed on -,the <br />outside light to keep from annoying the neighbors. He was also asked <br />to keep Mr. West and Mr. Steed advised of his progress. <br />711 George Avenue A letter was received from The National Bank signed <br />by R. W. Goheen stating that they were the owners of the property at <br />711 George Avenue and had granted permission for it to be demolished <br />by Mr. Julius O'Neal. This was ordered filed. <br />LETTER FROM MR. STEED RE: REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />Mr. Steed presented the following letter to the Board: <br />
