3, a 7 <br />7/10/72 <br />COUNCILMAN PARENT - BUILDING DEPARTMENT SALARIES <br />Councilman Parent inquired about the salary of Building Department employees ka._ <br />and suggested re-evaluation of these salaries to allow for more competence <br />in these functions. <br />BLOCK PARTY REQUEST - 200 BLOCK TONTI AVENUE - JULY 16 <br />A Tonti Avenue Block Party request was referred to Clem Hazinski, Traffic <br />Engineer, who will call Mrs. Maureen Farrell at 233-1058 approving closing <br />of the street for a party if she will indemnify the City for this party. <br />She was 4.nformed that this '-type of request really needs two weeks. The <br />petition was referred to Mr. Hazinski. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Mr. Richard Liszewski, Sub -Standards Director, appeared before the Board <br />and the following matters were discussed; <br />-IN <br />Mr. <br />Liszeszewski asked permission to show cause why demolition should not <br />V..,I <br />take <br />place, and requested the owners to appear <br />before the Board on July <br />to <br />24, <br />1972, on the following; <br />V <br />1207 W. Dunnuck, Trustee <br />only) <br />656 D4amond Avenue <br />Alfred Lee Winters <br />Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />above request was granted <br />and <br />Mr. Lszewsk.i is'to inform the persons <br />interested.' <br />656 <br />Diamond Avenee Bids to be taken July <br />24, 1972. <br />1135 <br />E. Madison Bids to be taken July 24, <br />1972. <br />1002-1004 W. Oak St. The owner is Elien'Bailey, and she is undecided whether <br />or not to rehabilitate. It is to be boarded up, secured and be put out on <br />bid in two weeks if not repaired. <br />2206 S. William St. To be set for bids July 24, 1972. <br />114 N. Adams St. To be set for bids July 24, 1972. <br />1618 W. Dunham St. To be set for bids July 24, 1972. <br />709 E. Ohio St. Joseph Jenkins, wishes this house be demolished and will <br />take care of the contract with O'Neal themselves O'Neal is to notify the <br />City when the house is down. <br />BIDS ON SUB -STANDARDS BUILDINGS <br />This being the date set for receiving bids to demolish several structures <br />the following bids were opened and read; The non-cotlus'ion affidavits <br />were found to be in proper order; <br />608 E. Pennsylvania <br />Midwest Demolition $764.00 <br />O'Neal 650.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded.and carried, the bid was awarded to O'Neal <br />Trucking Company on its low bid of $650.00. <br />2108 Linden To be completely rehabilitated. <br />1214 Whiteman Court <br />Midwest Demolition $485.00 <br />O'Neal 375.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bid was awarded to O'Neal <br />Trucking Company on its low bid of $375.00 <br />
