357 <br />7/3/72 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board granted permission <br />to the Chief to use vacant properties for fire department training. <br />The area in question at this time is the Randolph Street area. <br />SICK LEAVE OVER THIRTY DAYS - JOHN VIGH <br />The Chief informed the Board that Firefighter John Vigh, Jr. has <br />undergone surgery during the past week and is presently In the hos- <br />pital. He asked to extend his sick leave until August 1, 1972. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board granted the request <br />and Firefighter John Vigh's sick leave is extended until August 1, 1972. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />SPECIAL POLICE BOND - TERRY WHEELER <br />Upon motion made, seconded -and carried, the Board approved the Special <br />Police Bond for Terry Wheeler to April 13, 1973. <br />�...1 S it S CLEANERS TO CLEAN CROSSING GUARD UNIFORMS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board awarded the bid to <br />Uclean and store crossing guard's uniforms for the summer to S & S <br />Cleaners, this being the only bid received. <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR UNIFORMS FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board instructed the Clerk <br />to advertise for Uniforms and Uniform Equipment for the Police Depart- <br />ment for the next year, bids to be returnable on July 17, 1972 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT <br />USE OF MODULAR MOBILE OFFICE FOR LEHMANN GAS & OIL <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recomm- <br />endation of the Building Commissioner that the Lehmann Gas & Oil Company <br />be permitted to use a modular mobile office at 334 South Notre Dame <br />Avenue. <br />PERMISSION TO HOLD TENT SERVICES <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board accepted the rec- <br />ommendation of the Building Commissioner and approved the use of a <br />tent for services at the corner of Washington Street between Camden <br />and Liberty Streets July 16th through July 29th from 8:00 A.N. until <br />approximately 10:30 P.M. <br />TENT SHOW FOR GATES CHEVROLET <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the rec- <br />ommendation of the Building Commissioner that Gates Chevrolet Corp- <br />oration be permitted to hold a tent show on land adjacent to their <br />building on Franklin Street. <br />Mr. Harold Moon, appeared before the Board, representing Gates <br />Chevrolet and asked that the time limit for the tent show be ex- <br />tended to run through July 15th.
