357 7/3/72 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board granted permission to the Chief to use vacant properties for fire department training. The area in question at this time is the Randolph Street area. SICK LEAVE OVER THIRTY DAYS - JOHN VIGH The Chief informed the Board that Firefighter John Vigh, Jr. has undergone surgery during the past week and is presently In the hos- pital. He asked to extend his sick leave until August 1, 1972. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board granted the request and Firefighter John Vigh's sick leave is extended until August 1, 1972. POLICE DEPARTMENT SPECIAL POLICE BOND - TERRY WHEELER Upon motion made, seconded -and carried, the Board approved the Special Police Bond for Terry Wheeler to April 13, 1973. �...1 S it S CLEANERS TO CLEAN CROSSING GUARD UNIFORMS Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board awarded the bid to Uclean and store crossing guard's uniforms for the summer to S & S Cleaners, this being the only bid received. TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR UNIFORMS FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board instructed the Clerk to advertise for Uniforms and Uniform Equipment for the Police Depart- ment for the next year, bids to be returnable on July 17, 1972 BUILDING DEPARTMENT USE OF MODULAR MOBILE OFFICE FOR LEHMANN GAS & OIL Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recomm- endation of the Building Commissioner that the Lehmann Gas & Oil Company be permitted to use a modular mobile office at 334 South Notre Dame Avenue. PERMISSION TO HOLD TENT SERVICES Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board accepted the rec- ommendation of the Building Commissioner and approved the use of a tent for services at the corner of Washington Street between Camden and Liberty Streets July 16th through July 29th from 8:00 A.N. until approximately 10:30 P.M. TENT SHOW FOR GATES CHEVROLET Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the rec- ommendation of the Building Commissioner that Gates Chevrolet Corp- oration be permitted to hold a tent show on land adjacent to their building on Franklin Street. Mr. Harold Moon, appeared before the Board, representing Gates Chevrolet and asked that the time limit for the tent show be ex- tended to run through July 15th. Permission was granted.
