6/26/72 <br />SERGEANT GEORGE N. HERTZ TO SEMINAR <br />Chief Seals requested that permisstion be granted to send Sergeant <br />George N. Hertz to a seminar dealing with Basic Law Enforcement Photo- <br />graphy on July 17 and 18, 1972 to be held at Oak Brook, Illinois, <br />sponsored by the Eastman Kodak Company. The only cost to the city to <br />be that of the transportation. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Board granted the request. <br />PROMOTION OF PHILIP W. STRADLEY AND DONALD A. RUSZKOWSKI <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board accepted the recom- <br />mendation of Chief Seals and promoted Philip W. Stradley and Donald <br />A. Ruszkowski to the rank of Corporal, effective July 1, 1972. <br />MILITARY LEAVE FOR CADET THOMAS E. KOEHLER <br />Chief Seals requested that the Board grant permission for Cadet Thomas <br />E. Koehler to attend his annual two -week summer encampment with the <br />United States Army Reserve at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin from June 24, 1972 <br />to July 8, 1972. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request <br />was granted. <br />POLICE APPLICATIONS RECEIVED <br />Applications for the Police Department were reviewed and referred to <br />the Personnel Department for the following: <br />Willie James Burks George Wheelock, Jr. <br />SPECIAL POLICE BOND <br />A Special Police Bond was approved for Harold Harrison, upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT <br />The following letter was received: <br />June 19, 1972 <br />To: Board of Public Works and Safety <br />From: Building Department <br />Subject: BOCA Conference <br />Permission is requested for the undersigned to attend the 57th annual <br />conference of the Building Officals and Code Administrators International, <br />Inc., at Chicago, 1111inois, June 24-30, 1972. <br />This is a budget approved item, and funds therefor are available in <br />Account No. M-213. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />S1 Forrest R. West, Building Commissioner <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the above request was granted <br />and permission to attend the conference was given. <br />PERMISSION TO USE MODULAR MOBILE BUILDING <br />The following letter was received: <br />
