324 <br />5/30/72 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Mr. Richard Liszewski, Sub -Standard Director, was present and matters <br />pertaining to his department were discussed. <br />1631 S. Franklin Street Danilo and Kristine Miskin having been requested <br />to appear before the Board to show cause why the structure at 16031 S. <br />Franklin Street should not be demolished, and having called to request the <br />delay of one week, the case is continued until the next meeting. <br />3001 Western Avenue Arthur A. & Clara Langel not having appeard as <br />requested to show cause why the structure at 3001 Western Avenue should <br />not be demolished, the Board now directs Mr. Liszewski to seek bids for <br />the demo]-ttion of the Structure. <br />237 E. Paris Street Cecil and Odester Agnew and Grant Lewis not having <br />appeared as requested, to show cause why the structure at 237 East Paris <br />Street should not be demolished, the Board now directs Mr. Liszewski to <br />seek bids for the demolition of the structure. <br />712-714-715 Marietta Street James E. Kushto, guardian for Lottie Kushto <br />King, not having appeared as requested to show cause why the structures <br />at 712-714=715 Marietta Street should not be demolished, the Board now <br />directs Mr. Liszewski to seek bids for the demolition of the structures. <br />1225 E. Bissell Street Mr. Liszewski having been requested to report on <br />the status of the above address in response to an inquiry from Charles <br />Howell, now reports that the true address is 1125 East Bissell Street <br />and the house has been demolished. <br />the following letter was received and referred to the Board: <br />May 26, 1972 <br />To: Board of Public Works and Safety <br />From: Building Department <br />Per your request information on certain properties is as follows: <br />(pertains to Builders United Enterprises) <br />1. 115 East Ewing Avenue -- permit obtained, excavation for <br />crawl space house dug, no construction begun. <br />509 South 29th Street and 515 South 29th Street -- permit <br />obtained, excavation for basement only, no construction. <br />2.. 1134 E. Cedar Street -- no permit obtained, excavation <br />made for crawl -space house and footings installed. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />FRW/ek s/ Forrest R. West, Building Commissioner <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board ordered the report <br />filed. <br />MR. ROBERT SWANSON PRESENT <br />Mr. Robert Swanson, representing the Michiana Chapter of Paraplegics, <br />appeared before the Board to request that the building code be changed <br />to include wider doors and ramps into buildings so paraplegics are able <br />to enter buildings and be employed. Mr. Richardson assured Mr. Swanson <br />that this is being considered. <br />1 <br />I '� <br />
