However, it appears that the lot in questions has been deeded to the City and that the matter should be handled by the Board of Public Works and Safety. Parent RP/pdc Upon motion Made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the matter to Mr. West for a full report as soon as possible. COMPLAINT - MRS. LOUTS ROZEK Mrs. Louise Rozek, 624 North Birdsell Street, complained to the Board about a number of properties in the model Neighborhood Area. 1114 She presented pictures showing the houses that should be boarded up, including those at 672 LaPorte Avenue; 1334 Fassnacht Street; lf� 1325 Linden Avenue, and a garage at 1319 Linden that should be demolished. These matter s were referred to Mr. Liszewski for investigation and report. LETTER FROM LLOYD S. TAYLOR - STUDEBAKER CARS A letter was received from Mr. Lloyd S. Taylor, Museum Director, informing the Board that the Miciiana Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club is hosting the 8th Annual National Meet in South Bend in July. They asked about the possibility of having an auction to salvage some of the parts of the old studebaker cars which were abandoned and towed to the City parking area. The following letter was sent by Mr.. Charles A. Sweeney, Jr., Pres- ident of the Board: May 11, 1972 Lloyd S. Taylor, Executive Director, Department of Redevelopment, South Bend, Indiana Dear Lloyd: Your inquiry concerning the possibility of the Michiana Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club holding an auction of Studebaker cars in the city's abandoned car lot has been considered and approved. The question of diversion of the funds to the Museum must be answered in the negative. Would you please contact Jim Barcome reference the actual physical handling of the auction. He will coordinate the removal of the Studebaker automobiles so that the bidders might inspect the same. Sincerely yours, s/ Chases--4.
