124S 3/27/72 Mr. Sweeney, City Attorney, made the statement that the whole pro- cedure of granting Special Police Commissions is being studied with the idea of either doing away with special police commissions or writing more stringent requirements. upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried the above applications were referred to the Legal Department for study. CANCELLATION OF SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSIONS The following letter was presented: March 20, 1972 Mrs. Freda Noble, Clerk The Board of Public Works and Safety City of South Bend, Indiana Dear Mrs. Noble: Effective March 31, 1972, we are terminating the special police officer status of our watchmen:;. The watchmen affected are: Frank Wolfinger, Chester Spychalski, Jens Pedersen, Stanley Mitchell, Darwin Wilkeson, James French and William Dreibelbis. Two watchment have appled for special police commission but have not received them. therefore you may cancel their applications. They are Stanley Bogucki and Edward Cole. We will return their badges; as soon as possible and understand the $5.00 deposit for ecah badge'is refundable. Sincerely, -s/ James J. Pedersen, James Edgar French, William Isaac Dreibelbis, Stanley Thomas Bogucki and Edward Leroy Cole, NCR INCREASE IN COMPUTOR RATES A letter was received from the National Cash Register Company relative to a price increase effective July 1, 1972 on a computor agreement with the Police Department, This was referred to the Legal Department for study and report. CANCELLATION SPECIAL POLICE BOND 4� ROBERT RANDEL HENRY Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried the special police bond for Robert Randel Henry was cancelled.
