124S <br />3/27/72 <br />Mr. Sweeney, City Attorney, made the statement that the whole pro- <br />cedure of granting Special Police Commissions is being studied with <br />the idea of either doing away with special police commissions or <br />writing more stringent requirements. upon motion duly made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried the above applications were referred to the <br />Legal Department for study. <br />CANCELLATION OF SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSIONS <br />The following letter was presented: <br />March 20, 1972 <br />Mrs. Freda Noble, Clerk <br />The Board of Public Works and Safety <br />City of South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear Mrs. Noble: <br />Effective March 31, 1972, we are terminating the special police <br />officer status of our watchmen:;. <br />The watchmen affected are: Frank Wolfinger, Chester Spychalski, <br />Jens Pedersen, Stanley Mitchell, Darwin Wilkeson, James French and <br />William Dreibelbis. <br />Two watchment have appled for special police commission but have not <br />received them. therefore you may cancel their applications. They are <br />Stanley Bogucki and Edward Cole. <br />We will return their badges; as soon as possible and understand the <br />$5.00 deposit for ecah badge'is refundable. <br />Sincerely, <br />-s/ James J. Pedersen, James Edgar <br />French, William Isaac Dreibelbis, Stanley Thomas Bogucki and Edward <br />Leroy Cole, <br />NCR INCREASE IN COMPUTOR RATES <br />A letter was received from the National Cash Register Company relative <br />to a price increase effective July 1, 1972 on a computor agreement with <br />the Police Department, This was referred to the Legal Department for <br />study and report. <br />CANCELLATION SPECIAL POLICE BOND 4� ROBERT RANDEL HENRY <br />Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried the special police bond <br />for Robert Randel Henry was cancelled. <br />
