1244 <br />3/20/72 <br />Upon motion made,' seconded and carried the matter was referred to the <br />Legal Department. <br />A petition was received from Jeeitz, South Bend Park Department, <br />to vacate an alley from Oran ?a 0 Li nden Avenue: Parallel Street from <br />North College to North North Adams Street from Orange Street <br />to Linden Avenue. upon eption grade, seconded and carried the petition <br />was referred to the Engineering Department and the Area Plan Commission <br />simultaneously, for investigation and recommendation. <br />PROPERTY AT PORTAGE AND ELWOOD - APPRAISAL <br />The following letter was presented to the Board <br />February 8, 1972 <br />City of South Bend <br />% Robert M Parker <br />Chief Deputy City Attorney <br />City of South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear Mr. Parker: <br />We assigned the appraisal of our property to Ralph C. Michoels,M,A.1., <br />S.R.E.A. in South Bend. There was a mix-up on the appraisal and we <br />have just received his final opinion. i am sorry for the delay. <br />We are now prepared to turn the property over to you for the appraised <br />vatpcation, Please see the appraisal enclosed; Mr. Michaels placed <br />a value of $4,350.00 fear market value on that portion of the site <br />which is to be taken by the City of South Bend for street widening. <br />Thank you for your patience. <br />Sincerely yours, <br />MOBIL OIL CORPORATION <br />s/ Richard L.
