3/20/72
It is the intention of the Jaycees to sell containers of honey at .the
corners of Michigan Street and Jefferson, Michigan and Washington, and
Michigan and Wayne.
The net proceeds derived from the sale of the honey shall be used for
the benefit of Logan School. As a result of.last year's Honey Sunday
sale, we turned over approximately $1,200 for the benefit of the
retarded children. We have also obtained permission of the Charitable
Solicitations Committee to hold this project.
The Jaycees deeply regret their delinquency in submitting this request,
but the delay is directly attributable'to the fact that the committee
In charge of selling the honey was not familiar with the fact that
there were legal requirements for vending products in the city of
South Bend.
Hopefully, the Board will be kind enough to grant our request in order that
we might avoid sustaining a loss on this charitable project.
Respectfully submitted,
M s/ Frederick F.
