ROMY HAMMES MICHIANA.MACK INTNTL. <br />HARVESTER <br />4 Units <br />Cab & Chassis <br />X-Trude-A-Bed $45,019.44 $41, 184.76 <br />GROUP 11 <br />2 Units <br />Cab & Chassis <br />Flat Bed $7,080.00 9,981.30 <br />GROUP 111 <br />1 Unit <br />Cab & Chassis $3,285.00 <br />GROUP 1V <br />2 Units <br />Cab & Chassis $31,422.00 $38,695.00 $35,909.42 <br />GROUP V <br />2 Units <br />Sports Wagons $5,911.16 $5,895,00 $ 5,398.12 <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT <br />1 Unit <br />Pick -Up Truck $2,789.00 $2,936.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the above bids <br />to the Street Department and the Engineering Department respectivly. <br />LETTER FROM HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />The following letter was presented to :the Board: <br />February 9, 1972 <br />Board of Works <br />City of South Bend <br />County City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Attention: Attorney Charles A. Sweeney, Jr. President <br />Gentlemen: <br />Harber Homes is a housing development being constructed by the Consolidated <br />Negro Contractors, Inc., for The Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana. <br />According to the information given to this writer, the streets therein <br />have been dedicated to and accepted by the City of South Bend. However <br />the Street Department is not authorized to maintain the streets because <br />the Developer has not and cannot post the three year bond as is required. <br />The reasons for this situation are: <br />1) The Company is broke <br />2) It's Financial status will preclude consideration by <br />any reliable bonding company. <br />
