Richardson P.E. <br />Director <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried the Board approved <br />the above letter and instructed the clerk to write to Mr, and Mrs. Moo <br />and tell them diagonal parking will be permitted until such time as <br />they purchase property for parking cars, or until the state starts <br />construction of the property, whichever comes first, but provided no <br />cars are parked on the public sidewalk. <br />414 AMOUNT OF RETAINAGE - WASTEWATER PLANT CONTRACTORS <br />T--I <br />Mr. William Richardson, City Engineer, presented the following letter: <br />U February 10, 1972 <br />U <br />Board of Public Works and Safety <br />County City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />1 <br />Gentlemen: <br />In regard to the Contract Documents for the Wastewater Treatmant Plant <br />Addition and specifically, Article 31 of the General Conditions (Page GC-24) <br />we request a change in the amount retained by the City of South Bend from <br />ten (10) to five (5) percent. The request is based on the present money <br />market and interest rates. <br />We further suggest that in the event situations develop which we do not <br />presently anticipate, the City of South Bend as "Owner" reserve the right <br />to unilaterally restore the amount of retainage to the original figure. <br />Very truly yours, <br />s/ William J. MARY MON•DOVICS <br />A letter was received from Mrs. Mary Mondovics, 1641 South Magnolia Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana complaining that her street was in bad condition, and <br />the intersection of Magnolia and Dubai] Streets was heavily used and there <br />should be some work done there. <br />Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the above letter <br />was referred to the Street Department for proper action. <br />YORK ROAD DEDICATION <br />A dedication p lat showing a portion of York Road at the intersection of <br />Georgian Drive, was presented to the Board for their approval. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the said plat <br />and accepted the dedication of a portion of York Road. <br />
