2/14/72 209 I will be in touch with you as soon as the final plans are developed so that we can come to some kind of an agreement in the area. I dont think that the project will be constructed in 1972 but most likely will be completed during the summer of 1973. Director Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried the Board approved the above letter and instructed the clerk to write to Mr, and Mrs. Moo and tell them diagonal parking will be permitted until such time as they purchase property for parking cars, or until the state starts construction of the property, whichever comes first, but provided no cars are parked on the public sidewalk. 414 AMOUNT OF RETAINAGE - WASTEWATER PLANT CONTRACTORS T--I Mr. William Richardson, City Engineer, presented the following letter: U February 10, 1972 U Board of Public Works and Safety County City Building South Bend, Indiana 1 Gentlemen: In regard to the Contract Documents for the Wastewater Treatmant Plant Addition and specifically, Article 31 of the General Conditions (Page GC-24) we request a change in the amount retained by the City of South Bend from ten (10) to five (5) percent. The request is based on the present money market and interest rates. We further suggest that in the event situations develop which we do not presently anticipate, the City of South Bend as "Owner" reserve the right to unilaterally restore the amount of retainage to the original figure. MARY MON•DOVICS A letter was received from Mrs. Mary Mondovics, 1641 South Magnolia Street, South Bend, Indiana complaining that her street was in bad condition, and the intersection of Magnolia and Dubai] Streets was heavily used and there should be some work done there. Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the above letter was referred to the Street Department for proper action. YORK ROAD DEDICATION A dedication p lat showing a portion of York Road at the intersection of Georgian Drive, was presented to the Board for their approval. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the said plat and accepted the dedication of a portion of York Road.
