1/31/72 <br />and the Tri County News on January 21 and January 28, 1972, which were <br />found to be sufficient. <br />No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were received. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, said resolution <br />adopted on January 17, 1972 was ratified and confirmed and said streets <br />and alleys vacated. <br />The City Engineer is directed to prepare an assessment roll showing the <br />award of damages and assessment of benefits to surrounding properties. <br />HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3253-1972 - DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resolution No. 3352, <br />1972, for the vacation of: <br />Monroe Street from the East line of Rush Street extended <br />North to the North line of Monroe Street, East to the <br />West line of Lincolnway East. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri County News on January 21 and January 28, 1972 which <br />were found to be sufficient. <br />No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were received. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, said resolution <br />adopted on January 17, 1972 was ratified and confirmed and said streets <br />vacated. <br />The City Engineer is directed to prepare an assessment roll showing the <br />award of damages and assessment of benefits to surrounding properties. <br />HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3354,1972 - HANSEL NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resolution No. 3353, <br />1972, for the vacation of: <br />Alley between Huey and Sadie Street from the South <br />right-of-way of Linden Avenue to a point 97 feet <br />south of the south right-of-way of Linden Avenue. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri County News on January 21 and January 28, 1972, which <br />were found to be sufficient. <br />No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were received. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, said resolution <br />adopted, on January 17, 1972 was ratified and confirmed and said alley <br />vacated. <br />The City Engineer is directed to prepare an assessment roll showing the <br />award of damages and the assessment of benefits to surrounding properties. <br />EMPLOYEES SAFETY PROGRAM <br />Mr —Paul Gervas, Employees Safety Director, presented a safety program <br />for all the employees of the City of South Bend. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />program. <br />RIDER TO VANEK EXCAVATING COMPANY BOND CHANGING NAME <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved a rider to the <br />Demolitipn Bond of the Vanek Excavating Company wherein the name of the <br />Company is changed to AAA Excavating and Wrecking Company. <br />
