1/31/72 <br />of the press -media at no expense to the City. This will allow the sole <br />expense to the City herein involved being that of printing such identifi- <br />cation and controlling the issuance of such. <br />Your approval of this procedure, signaled by the signature of the President <br />of the Board of Public Works and Safety on the instruments, is most <br />earnestly requested with the approval of Chief J. Seals <br />Chief of Police <br />RWS:mm <br />Copy of the proposed identification was attached. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and umbn1mously carried, the Board approved the <br />type of press media identification requested by the Chief. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB- STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Mr. Richard Liszewski, Sub -Standards Director appeared before the Board and <br />the following matters were discussed: <br />125 East Dayton Street A letter was received from Garnette R. Horner asking <br />that this matter be continued until an investigation by the Insurance Company <br />has been completed. Upon the recommendation by Mr. Liszewski, the Board, upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, continued the matter for two weeks. <br />717 S. Clinton Street Certified mail notice to Bert M. & Ida B. Dudley <br />having been returned as undeliverable, Mr. Liszewski asked permission to <br />advertise for bids returnable on February 7, 1972. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried permission was granted to advertise for bids on the <br />demolition of the structure at 717 S. Clinton Street. <br />1613 S. Leer Street A letter was received from Clarence F. Tuskey,repre- <br />senting James E. Kushto, Guardian of the Estate of Lottie J. King, indicating <br />that his client would not appear before the Board of Public Works and Safety <br />to file objections to any action taken by the Board on January 31, 1972, as <br />he believes that it is not in the best interest of the said Guardianship <br />Estate to make any repairs to the captioned real estate. Mr. Liszewski asked <br />permission to ask for bids on the demolition of the structure at 1613 S. Leer <br />Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board granted his request <br />to ask for bids on the demolition of the structure at 1613 S. Leer Street. <br />423 Kosciuszko Street Nancy E. Hosack not having appeared as requested, upon <br />motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards Director <br />was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of 423 Kosciuszko Street. <br />1125 East Bissell Street Mattie Samue.ls not having appeared as requested, <br />upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards <br />Director was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the structure <br />at 1125 East Bissell Street. <br />827 S. Rush Street The matter of the sub -standard condition of the <br />subject property having been continued till this date, upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, the Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek <br />bids for the demolition of 827 S. Rush Street structure. <br />1315 S. Main Street Mr. Charles W. Hahn having sent a deed to the City of <br />South Bend for this property, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously <br />carried, the Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek bids for the <br />demolition of the structure at 1315 S. Main Street. <br />
