187 1/24/72 Eder -Bailie Division, ITT Service Industries Corporation d/b/a South Bend Window Cleaning Company Janitorial Services from February 1, 1972 thru January 31, 1973 $19,800.00 (to be invoiced at $1,650.00 at the end of each calendar month Alternate B Services for Both Garages #1 and #2 for a fee of $330.00 per month or #3,960.00 per year. Bid bond in an amount of 10% of the bid accompanied bids. Non -collusion affidavits having found to be in proper order, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board took the bids under advisement. BIDS FOR WATER WORKS CARS The City Engineer presented a recommendation for bids previously received as follows: Group IV 2 Ford Torino 4dr Sedans, less trades and taxes $4,073.74 Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried the Board Accepted V the above bid for 2 cars for the Water Works. Z� STREET DEPARTMENT - REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR.IOTOR VEHICLES Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the request of the Street Department to advertise for bids for motor vehicles for the Street Department. The Clerk is directed to give notice by publi- cation in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on January 28, 1972 and February 4, 1972 of bids to be received on February 14, 1972. Donald Decker, Street Commissioner, presented the following letter: January 24, 1972 Board of Public Works and Safety City of South Bend County City Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 Subject: Travel Gentlemen: I request permission for myself and Mr. Fletcher Coleman, Assistant Street Superintendent, to attent the International Slurry Seal Association Conven- tion in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 8-9-10, 1972. The information leanred through the seminars conducted at the convention, plus the exchange of ideas with the other members in the field will be of tremen- dous value to bs. in planning the Slurry Seal program for South Bend for this year. LETTER REGARDING CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE. A letter was received from Television Communications Corporation, 610 Fifth Avenue, New York, N.Y. 10020 asking that they be allowed to submit a pro- posal.
