IR61 1/24/72 AREA PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION - Julius & Edith Tucker Vacation Area Plan Commission files with the Board its favorable recommendation for the vacation. of the alley on the !lest sdie of Niles Avenue, between Washington Street and Colfax Avenue for Julius & Edith Tucker. The City Engineer is directed to prepare a vacation resolution. ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED - RESOLUTION NO 3350, 1971 SOUTH BEND COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll in Vacation Resolution no. 3350, 1971 for the vacation of Longley Avenue between Meade Street and Olive Street; also the first east -west alley north of Longley Avenue between Meade Street and Olive Street; also the first north -south alley east of Meade Street from Longley Avenue north to the first east -west alley north of Longley Avenue; also Fremont Street from Longley Avenue north to '-the first to the first east -west alley. The clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News which were found to be sufficient. No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances having been received, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the assessement roll showing no net damages and no net benefits was approved as adopted and said resolution in all things ratified and confirmed and said proceedings closed. REQUEST FOR EASEMENT - I&M ELECTRIC COMPANY Indiana and Michigan Electric Company request an easement bounded by the Grand Trunk and Penn -Central Railroads, west of Miami Street. Grantee shall pay to grantor at or prior to the time when construction of facil- ities is commenced on ,the premises, $50.00 for each pole and anchor to be located thereon. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the request for easement. JANITORIAL SERVICES - MUNICIPAL SERVICES FACILITY This being the date set, bids were opened for janitor service for the Municipal Services Building, as follows: V. & A Maintenance Company, 2029 Milburn Avenue, Mishawaka,lnd. All necessary cleaning equipment and supplies to be furnished by the Janitor Service. All employees to be Insured :and bonded $1,600.00 per mo. Certified check in amount of $960.00 accompanied bid. ABC JANITOR SERVICE, INC. Janitorial Service $1,600.00 per month or 19,200.00 per year Alternate $1,600.00 per month or $19,200.00 per 12 month period are hereby submitted for year 1973 provided mini- mum wages are not increased by the government to become effective 1973. Janitorial Service for Municipal Parking Garage #1 at Colfax and Main and Municipal Parking Garage #2 at St. Joseph & Jefferson Blvd. $230.00 per month or 2,760.00 per year Alternate figures of $230.00 per month or $2,760.00 for 12 month period are hereby submitted for year 1973 provided minimum wages are not increased by the government to become effective in 1973. Bid bonds in amount of 5% of the bids accompanied bids.
