17 8� 1717f72 Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board held the bid's for opening until Mr. Liszewski has made his inspection. 736 North Frances Street Mr. Wallace Mitchell appeared before the Board to request a further extension of time in which to repair the structure at 735 North Frances. Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board continued the matter for one week and Mr. Mitchell is to bring in a detailed report of proof of financial backing and a timetable showing how long it will take to get the house back into shape. CRESTWOOD MANAGEMENT COMPANY - RETENTION BASIN Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the purchase of the retention basin (Lagoon E) in Crestwood Gardens, south of Edison Road between Edison Park and Mckinley Terrace Additions as set out in a purchase Agreement between Crestwood Management Company and the City of South Bend, Indiana. ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED - RESOLUTION NO.3349, 1971 - GATES CHEVROLET COMPANY Lloyd S. Taylor, former City Engineer, filed an assessment roll, showing the award of damages and assessment of benefits, in Vacation Resolution No. 3349, 1971 for the vacation of the east -west alley between Wayne Street and Western Avenue from William Street to Franklin Street; also the north-wouth alley between William Street and Franklin Street from Wayne Street to Western Avenue. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation: All of the area bounded by Wayne Street, on the North, Franklin Street on the East, Western Avenue on the South, and William Street on the West. Total net damages $00.00 Total net benefits $00.00 Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board adopted said assessment roll and set 9:30 A.M., January 17, 1972 in room 1308 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana, as the date for hearing all persons intersted in or .affected by said vacation. HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL? -VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3349, 1971 This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll in Vacation Resolution No. 3349, 1971 for the vacation of the east -west alley between Wayne Street and Western Avenue from William Street; also the north -south alley between William Street and Franklin Street from Wayne Street to Western Avenue. The clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News which were found to be sufficient. No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been received, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the assessment roll showing no net damages and no net benefits was approved as adopted and said resolution in all things ratified and confirmed and said proceedings closed.
