1/3/72 <br />1_ 6 7 <br />813 South Bendix Drive Mr. Liszewski asked permission to advertise for bids <br />for the demolition of this property as Clemens and Lottie Wrzesien did not <br />appear as requested. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the <br />Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the <br />structure at 813 South Bendix Drive. <br />1934 North Meade Street Vernon C. and Marion H. Hastings not having appeared <br />as requested, Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub -Stand- <br />ards Director was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the structure;at <br />1934 North Meade Street. <br />910 West Washington Street John Brand et al, not having appeared as requested, <br />upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried the Sub -Standards Director <br />was authorized to seek bids for the structure at 910 West Washington Street. <br />DEMOLITION BIDS OPENED <br />This being the date set, bids for demolition of the following properties were <br />opened. Non -collusion affidavits were found to be in proper order. The bids <br />were as follows: <br />724 George Avenue: <br />TV Waimco $553.00 <br />e-4 Vanek Excavating Co. 350.00 <br />Machinery Supply Co. 435.00 <br />V O'Neal Trucking Co. 485.00 <br />u <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract for demolition of the <br />structure at 724 George Avenue was awarded to Vanek Excavating Company on its <br />low bid of $350.00 <br />1611 South William Street <br />A quit claim deed, signed by Charles W. Hahn as Trustee for Emil William Weber' <br />was filed with the Board. <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $535.00 <br />Waimco 320.00 <br />Vanek Excavating Co. 375.00 <br />Machinery Supply Company 575.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract for demolition of the <br />structure at 1611 South William Street was awarded to Waimco on its low bid of <br />$320.00. <br />729 SSouth Rush Street: <br />Machinery Supply Co. $675.00 <br />Vanek Excavating Company 425.00 <br />Waimco 320.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company 535.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract for demolition of the structure <br />at 7292 South Rush Street was awarded to Waimco on its low bid of $320.00 <br />1215 Whitman Court: <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $535.00 <br />Machinery Supply Company 695,00 <br />Waimco 668.00 <br />Vanek Excavating Company 425.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract for demolition of the structure <br />at 1215 Whitman Court was awarded to Vanek Excavating Company on its low bid of <br />$425.00 <br />COMPLAINT - MRS. HERMAN LIGHTHALL <br />Mrs. Herman Lighthall, 1428 East Howard Street, South Bend, Indiana appeared before <br />the Board and complained of sewage back-up in her basement, as well as the poor <br />condition of the street in front of her home.
