11/8/71 <br />1214 McCartney Street. Mr. Liszewski reports the owner is slowly tearing down <br />this structure himself. Upon. -motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />the matter of 1214 McCartney Street was continued two weeks. <br />Demolition bids opened <br />This being the date set, demolition bids were opened for the following. Non <br />collusion affidavits were found to be proper. The bids were as follows: <br />140 E. Paris' Street. <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $649.00 <br />Machinery Supply Co., Inc. $526.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 140 E. Paris Street was awarded to Machinery Supply Company <br />on its low bid of $526.00. <br />618 S. Rush Street. <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $1,000.00 <br />Machinery Supply Company 526.00 <br />Upon Motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 618 S. Rush Street was awarded to Machinery Supply Company <br />on its low bid of $526.00. <br />120 E. Elder Street. <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $70000 <br />Machinery Supply Company $526.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 120 E. Elder Street was awarded to Machinery Supply Company <br />on its low bid of $526.00. <br />Request for sub -standard property owners to appear before the Board 11/22/71 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the re- <br />quest of the Sub -Standards Director for the following persons to appear before <br />the Board on November 22, 1971, in reference to the sub -standard condition of <br />the following properties: <br />836 N. Frances Street - Wallace J. and Bessie Mitchell <br />223 N. Johnson Street - Ervin J. and Mary Ann Cudowski <br />738 E. Pennsylvania Street - Mae E. Hunt <br />112 E. Ohio Street - Herschel and Loville Lawson <br />And the Clerk is directed to so notify said persons by certified mail. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS TO REMOVE OR DEMOLISH DWELLINGS - RANDOLPH- <br />SAMPSON RETENTION BASIN AREA <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the re- <br />quest of the Engineering Department for permission to advertise for bids for the <br />removal or demolition of dwellings in the area of the Randolph -Sampson storm <br />water retention basin. November 22, 1971, was set as the date for receiving <br />bids and the Clerk was directed to give notice by publication in the South <br />Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on November 12 and November 19, 1971. <br />REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR GASOLINE AND FUEL OIL <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of the Purchasing Department to advertise for bids for gasoline and <br />fuel oil for 1972. The Clerk is directed to give notice by publication in the <br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on November 12 and November 19, 19712 <br />of bids to be received on November 22, 1971. <br />
