Non collusion affidavits were examined and found to be sufficient. <br />The bids were as follows: <br />539 S. Fellows Street• <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $600.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Corporation $537,00 <br />B & J Demolition Company $400:00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously <br />of the structure at 539 S. Fellows Street <br />Company on its low bid of $400.00. <br />702 S. Clinton Street: <br />O'Neal Trucking Company <br />Midwest Demolition Company <br />B & J Demolition Company <br />carried, contract for demolition <br />was awarded to B & J Demolition <br />$585.00 <br />$523.00 <br />$575.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, ontract for demolition <br />of the structure at 702 S. Clinton Street was awarded to Midwest Demolition <br />Company on its low bid of $523.00. <br />1629 S. William Street: <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $529.00 <br />Midwest Demolition Corporation $637.00 <br />B & J Demolition Company $450.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, -.contract for demolition <br />of the structure at 1629 S. William Street was awarded to B & J Demolition <br />Company on its low bid of $450.00. <br />MUNICIPAL PARKING GARAGES - MONTHLY CONTRACTS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, after due consideration, <br />the Board approved the recommendation of the Municiapl Parking Facilities Manager <br />to increase monthly parking contracts for Garage No. 2 (Jefferson and St. <br />Joseph) to 210 or less as of January 1, 1972. <br />HEARING ON VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3347, 1971 - BENEDICT J. BARCZYKOWSKI <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resolution No. 3347, <br />1971 for the vacation of the first east -west alley north of Huron Street <br />from the west line of Carlisle Street west to the east line of the first <br />north -south alley. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri County News on October 1 and October 8, 1971, which were found to be <br />sufficient. <br />The petitioner, Benedict J. Barczykowski, 437 S. Carlisle Street, South <br />Bend, Indiana, and Zygmunt J. Gorney, 433 S. Carlisle Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, appeared before the Board in favor of the vacation. No <br />remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been re- <br />ceived, it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the said <br />vacation resolution adopted September 27, 1971, be'finally ratified and <br />confirmed and said alley vacated. <br />The City Engineer is directed to prepare an assessment roll showing the 1. <br />assessment of benefits and the award of damages to surrounding properties. <br />
