M 8/23/71 Remonstrance to said closings bearing the signatures of more than 350 persons having been received and the matter having been duly considered, the motion was made by Lloyd S. Taylor that the .vacation of Vernon and Caroline Streets at the Penn Central railroad crossings be tabled indefinitely. The motion was seconded by James A. Bickel and unanimously carried. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3343 CONFIRMED - E. FARNEMAN STREET SEWER For the improvement of East Farneman Street, from 200 feet east of Fellows Street, east to the dead end, by constructing a local sewer. Having duly considered the matter, the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to or greater than the estimated cost of the same as reported by the City Civil Engineer. Thereupon, it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that Improvement Resolution No. 3343, 1971, be in all things confirmed as adopted on August 2, 1971, and the improvement ordered made. September 20, 1971, was the date set for receiving bids , at 9:30 A.M., in Room 1308 County City Building, for said improvement. And the Clerk was directed to give notice by publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tr i County News on rSepterhber 3'4 and September 10, 1971. AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATION - VACATION PETIT[ON'OF';FLOYD L.-HECKAMAN Area Plan Commission files with the Board its favorable recommendation for the vacation of the north -south alley between Carroll and Columbia Streets, from the south right of way line of the first alley south of Bronson Street, running south 102 feet to the north property line of Lot 29, all in Denniston and Fellows Addition. And the City Engineer is directed to prepare a vacation resolution. AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATI.O_N - VACATION PETITION OF DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT Area Plan Commission files with the Board its favorable recommendation for the vacation of: Portions of streets and alleys all within the recorded Th:itrd Plat of Summit Place Addition, a subdivision 1fi the south- west Quarter of Section 10, Township 37 north, Range 2 east, as follows: (1) Kankakee Avenue between the west line of the north -south alley west of Kaley Street and the east line extended northerly of Lot 686. (2) Kaley Street between 40 feet north of the north line of Colfax Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue. (3) The north -south alley (between Kaley Street and Meade Street) between 40 feet north of the north line of Colfax Avenue and the south line of Kankakee Avenue. (4) The east -west alley (between Washington Street and Colfax Avenue) between the west line of Kaley Street and the east line of the first north -south alley west of Kaley°Street. Said vacation subject to 14 foot wide sewer easement between the west line of Kaley Street and the east line of the first north -south alley west of Kaley Street. And the City Engineer is directed to prepare a vacation resolution. AREA PLAN RECOMMENDATION - VACATION PETITION OF ROY H. POLLOCK Area Plan Commission files with the Board its favorable recommendation for the vacation of: The alley running east from Fellows Street south of Dubai] Avenue and crossing Lots 55 and 56, and a portion of Lot 57; thence running south exiting in the east -west alley between Dubai] Avenue and Dayton Street from Fellows Street to Rush Street in Henry Baker's First Addition. And the City Engineer is directed to prepare,a vacation resolution.
