IR 7/26/71 ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3324 - OLIVE STREET SIDEWALK For the improvement of S. Olive Street, from Ford Street to Western Avenue, by constructlfng sidewalk and curb repairs. Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, file with the Board its certificate of completion of said improvement by Rieth Riley Construction Company under Improvement Resolution No. 3324 in accordance with the plans and specifications for said project. And the City Engineer files assessment roll, with the,names of the owners and description of properties subject to be assessed, with the amount of the prima facie assessment. August 16, 1971, at 9:30 A.M., in Room 1308 County City Building, was set as the time and place for receivingr remonstrances against the amounts assessed on said roll, and at which time the Board will determine whether such Pots or tracts of land have been or will be benefited by said improve- ment to the amounts named. And the Clerk is directed to give notice of such hearing by publication in the South Bend Tribune on July 30 and August 6, 1971. DEDICATION - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3322 - UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME AND STANLEY PIETZAK It was moved, seconded and carried that acceptance of the dedication of a strip of land,by the University of Notre Dame for the extension of Twycken- ham Drive iDes postponed until August 2, 1971. FARNEMAN STREET SEWER Elmer P. Schulz, 604 E. Farneman Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before the Board and requested that the proper steps be taken to initiate proceedings for a sewer on E. Farneman Street. The City attorney advised a resolution will be filed at the next meeting of the Board. TOPICS PROGRAM - UTILITIES AGREEMENTS WITH INDIANA BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY The motion was made that the Board of Public Works and Safety enter into agreements with the Indiana Bell Telephone Company for telephone lines at the following intersections being constructed under the TOPICS (Traffic Operations Program for Increasing Capacity and Safety) program: Corby-Ironwood-Rockne Lincolnway West -Williams Portage -Elwood Twyckenham-Ewing The motion was seconded and unanimously carried, and the agreements were signed by the Board. TOPICS PROGRAM - UTILITIES AGREEMENTS WITH SOUTH BEND WATER WORKS The motion was made that the Board of Public Works and Safety enter into agreements with the South Bend Water Works for water lines at the following intersections being constructed under the TOPICS (Traffic Operations Program for Increasing Capacity and Safety) program: Corby-Ironwood-Rockne Lincolnway West -Williams Portage -Elwood Twyckenham-Ewing The motion was seconded and carried, and the agreements were signed by:. the Board.
