7/26/71 COMPLAINT(HOUSE INSPECTIONS) - MRS. JAMES CLARK Mrs. James Clark, 1322 King Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before the Board in reference to the inspection of residences by the Sub -Standards Department. It was explained to Mrs. Clark that these inspections are made at the request of the Federal Government in order for the City to be eligible for aid from the Federal Government.. ON AMENDED ASSESSMENT ROLL - AMENDED VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3337 - This being the date set for hearing on the amended assessment roll in Vacation Resolution No. 3337, 1971, adopted February 22, 1971, and amended June 7, 1971, to include the following language: "all portions of streets and alleys located within the real estate described as follow! . %, A �� the Clerk tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on July 2, July 9 and July 16, 1971, which were found to be sufficient. No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been received, upon motion made, seconded and unaimously carried, the assessment roll was approved as presented and the Resolution= -as :amended June.7, 19717, in all things ratified and confirmed. REQUEST TO RESERVE PARKING METERS - J. C. PENNEY COMPANY - APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the J. C. Penney Company to use three parking meters in front of their store on September 16, 1971, upon the payment of $2.00 per meter per day. TRAFFIC REGULATION - 200 BLOCK W. WASHINGTON AVENUE Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department to change parking meters numbered 10, 12 and 14 in the 200 block of West Washington Avenue from 12 minute meters to 60 minute meters. And the Legal Department was directed to prepare an ordinance for the consideration of the Common Council. TRAFFIC REGULATION - 200 BLOCK WEST COLFAX AVENUE Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department to change parking meters numbered 1 and 3 on the north side of the 200 block of West Colfax Avenue from one hour parking to 12 minute parking. And the Legal Department was directed to prepare an ordinance for the consideration of the Common Council. CONTRACTORS` BONDS APPROVED Contractor's bond for Daniel Skwarcan commencing July 21, 1971 was approved and ordered filed. Certificate continuing contractor's bond of Carl J. Reinke & Sons to 8/4/72 was approved and ordered filed. Certificate continuing contractor's bond of Emmett K. Troyer to 8/29/72 was approved and ordered filed. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS Street light outage reports for the period 7/15/71 to 7/21/71 were ordered filed.
