<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of the Municipal
<br />Services Facility for additional funds as -follows:
<br />To account U-321 (gasoline) - $14,000.00
<br />To account U-252 (repairs and equipment) - $ 5,000.00
<br />To account U-324 (garage and motorrsupplies)- $ 8,000.00
<br />To account U-43 (repair parts) - - - - - $ 8,000.00
<br />was referred to the Legal Department for the preparation of an ordinance
<br />for the consideration of the Common Council.

<br />{4 Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved
<br />V the request of Ralph J. Wadzinski to be excused for military duty from
<br />July 31 to August 14, 1971.
<br />MUNICIPAL TRASH AND GARBAGE COLLECTION - OBJECTION, JOSEPH J. GUENTERT
<br />Joseph J. Guentert, 1034 Foster Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared be-
<br />fore the Board and filed a written objection to the proposed trash and
<br />garbage collection by the City of South Bend, which was ordered filed.
<br />RESOLUTION NO. 7-19-71 ADOPTED FOR THE SALE OF REAL ESTATE TO ESTHER M.

<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following resolution
<br />was adopted:
<br />" RESOLUTION NO. 7-19-71
<br />'WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, is the owner
<br />of a certain parcel of real estate hereinafter described, and
<br />"WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, by Ordinance No. 5280-71, adopted March 22, 1971, has
<br />authorized the sale of said real estate, and
<br />"WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety did
<br />pursuant to Resolution adopted May 10, 1971, advertise for bids
<br />for said real estate, said publication being on May 14, 1971,
<br />and May 21, 1971, and
<br />"WHEREAS, no bids were received by the Board of Public
<br />Works and Safety on the date designated for the receiving of
<br />the same, being May 24, 1971, and
<br />"WHEREAS, the City has now received an offer from Esther
<br />M. Schmidt for the purchase of said real estate in an amount
<br />equal to the full appraised value thereof, being One Hundred
<br />Fifty ($150.00) Dollars, together with costs and expense s of
<br />appraisal and advertising of said sale, being the sum of One
<br />Hundred Sixty Four and 16/100 ($164.16) Dollars, or a total
<br />sum of Three Hundred Fourteen and 16/100 ($314.16) Dollars,
<br />"NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the City of
<br />South Bend, acting by and through its Board of Public Works and
