Mr. Liszewski reported this property is being cleaned <br />up satisfactorily. Upon motion made, seconded and carried the matter of <br />1608 E. Paris Street was continued indefinitely, under the surveillance of <br />the Sub -Standards Department. <br />Demolition bids opened: <br />This being the date set, bids were opened for demolition of the following <br />structures. Non collusion affidavits were found to be proper. The bids <br />were as follows: <br />129 S. Logan Street. <br />Midwest Demolition Company $385.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $600.00 <br />Vanek Excavating Company $285.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract was awarded to Vanek <br />Construction Company on its low bid of $285.00 on the condition that if the <br />demolition is not performed satisfactorily according to the specifications <br />and rules of the Building Department further bids will not be awarded to <br />Vanek Excavating Company. <br />1063 LaSalle Court. <br />Midwest Demolition Company $334.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $473.00 <br />Vanek Excavating Company $285.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contract was awarded to Vanek <br />Construction Company on its low bid of $285.00 on the condition that if the <br />demolition is not performed satisfactorily according to the specifications <br />and rules of the Building Department further bids will not be awarded to <br />Vanek Excavating Company. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3338 - FRANK J. MORROW <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll i,n Vacation <br />Resolution No. 3338 for the vacation of: <br />The east -west alley running between Lots 56 and 57 in <br />Berner's Grove 1st Addition. Said alley being the first <br />east -west alley north of Mishawaka Avenue and running from <br />the west line of 24th Street to the east line of the first <br />north -south alley west of 24th Street. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri County News on May 14, May 21 and May 28, 1971, which were read <br />and found to be sufficient. <br />No remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrances were filed. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the assessment roll was approved as pre- <br />sented, and the vacation resolution in all things ratified and confirmed and <br />the proceedings closed. <br />RECOMMENDATION OF CONSULTING ENGINEER <br />CONTRACT AWARDED <br />WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ADDITIONS, DIVISION A <br />Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., files with the Board its recommendation <br />that the bid of Sollitt Construction Company, Inc., be accepted and contract <br />tentatively awarded for construction of the Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />Additions, Division A, subject to the successful bond sale and the approval of the <br />Environmental Protection Agency, said bid being the low bid received in the <br />amount of $6,540,000.00. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following resolution <br />was adopted: <br />1 <br />
