REGULAR MEETING <br />DECEMBER 26; 1973 <br />REQUEST FROM ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS RE: FIRE STATION NO. 11 <br />The Board received a request from the Area Club of Alcoholics Anonymous <br />that they be considered if the City plans to lease Fire.Station No. 11 when <br />it becomes vacant. They would like to lease the structure for meetings for <br />their organization. Upon motion,made, seconded and carried, the Board filed <br />the letter and directed that Mr. Eddie Slake, who submitted the request, be <br />notified that, at such time as the Fire Station is vacant, the Board will <br />take the request under consideration. <br />CURTIS PRODUCTS VACATION PETITION REINSTATED <br />Curtis Products, Inc., by their Attorney James Kuehl, petitioned the Board <br />to reinstate their petition to vacate the north -south alley between Carroll <br />and Columbia Streets, which was withdrawn on December 3, 1973, and to amend the <br />petition as follows: A petition to vacate the north -south alley between Carroll <br />and Columbia Streets, from Bronson Street South one hundred thirty-nine feet (139). <br />Mr. Kuehl explained to the Board that the petitioners will dedicate a public <br />14 foot alley which would allow complete access to the property owners who <br />remonstrated against the earlier petition. Mr. Roemer recommended to the Board <br />that the petition be reinstated and sent to the Area Plan Commission for hearing. <br />Mr. David Wells, Manager, Bureau of Design and Administration, advised the Board <br />Q <br />that it would not be necessary to refer the amended petition to the Division of <br />Engineering. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board ordered the <br />U petition reinstated, as amended, and referred it to the Area Plan Commission for <br />investigation and report. <br />BONDS APPROVED <br />Upon the favorable recommendation of Ray-S. Andrysiak, Bureau -of Engineering, <br />the following bonds were, upon motion made, seconded and carried, approved to <br />the dates listed: <br />Excavation Bonds <br />Guy Rizek Plumbing & Heating to 12/31/74 <br />Bob Frame Plumbing & Heating to 12/31/74 <br />Dye Plumbing & Heating to 1/10/75 <br />E. L. Zimmerman & Co. to 12/31/74 <br />H. S. Altman Co. to 1/l/75 <br />Edward J. White, Inc. to 12/31/74 <br />Robert P. Goetz to 12/31/74 <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORT FILED <br />Contractor's Bonds <br />Fred Black Construction Co. to 12/51/74 <br />Nick T. Prymak to 12/31/74 <br />Hartman Builders to l/l/75 <br />Dye Plumbing & Heating to 1/1/75 <br />The Street Light Outage Report for the period of December 5 to December 14 was <br />received and ordered filed. <br />APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />The Board received recommendations for installation of the following traffic <br />control devices: <br />A. Installation of Yield Signs on Arrowhead Drive at Council Oak. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the installation was approved. <br />B. _installation of Stop Signs on Council Oak at Tomahawk Trail. Upon <br />.motion made, seconded and carried, the installation was approved. <br />C. Installation of Stop Signs on Council Oak at Bendix Drive. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the installation was approved. <br />D. No Parking Any Time on the South Side of the 100 Block, West Ewing <br />and on the North Side in the 1/2 block between the alley and Main <br />Street. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the installation was approved. <br />
