<br />ADOPTION' OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO, 3389, 1973
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following resolution was adopted:
<br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3389, 1973
<br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANAV That
<br />it is desirable to vacate the following:
<br />The north -south alley between Carroll and Columbia Streets from
<br />Bronson Street south to the north right-of-way line of the east -west
<br />alley south of Bronson Street.
<br />Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities and the Municipal City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facilities., including, but
<br />not limited to, the following: electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer,surface
<br />watercontrol structures and ditches, within the vacated right of way, unless
<br />such rights are released by the individual Utilities.

<br />beneficially affected by such

<br />A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances
<br />from all persons interested in or
<br />affected by these proceedings.

<br />MEMO FROM ROBERT M. PARKER RE: PARKING LOT RATE CHANGES
<br />Notification was received from the South Bend Parking Company of proposed rate
<br />increases at three downtown parking lots. The letter was referred to the Legal
<br />Department to review the procedure for rate changes. Robert M. Parker, Deputy
<br />City Attorney, reported to the Board that the City Code requires that the licensee
<br />must notify the Board of Public Works in writing and that the change must be
<br />posted as the original rates were, according to the City Code. This section provides
<br />that a'sign be posted at each entrance to the lot apprising persons of the hours
<br />of the lot as well as the rates charged. Upon motion made, seconded and carried,
<br />the Board ordered the notification of rate changes and Mr. Parker's report filed.
<br />REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHT
<br />The Board received a request from Mr. George Phillips for a street light at
<br />Cambridge Drive and Matthews Lane or on Matthews Lane, west of Cambridge Drive.
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the request to the
<br />Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for investigation and recommendation.
<br />REPORT ON STUDY OF MICHIGAN STREET -NORTH SHORE INTERSECTION
