REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 22, 1973 <br />The studies will continue and a comprehensive report will be forwarded. <br />This study will also include Miami from Ridgedale to the intersection <br />:of Miami and Ireland Road. <br />Mr. Barcome reported that he had talked with Mr. Hazinski regarding this matter <br />and if was felt that by next spring the volume would warrant the signals. <br />RECOMMENDATION ON CLOSING OF WASHINGTON STREET <br />The Board received a recommendation from Clem Hazinski, Manager, Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting, that the request of Rasmussen's Men's Store to close <br />Washington Street from Michigan Street to Main Street on October 28, 1973 from <br />9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to allow them to move their stock and fixtures to their <br />new store could be approved. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />approved the request subject to Rasmussen's filing liability insurance with <br />the Board to hold the City harmless from any liability. <br />REQUESTS FOR STREET LIGHTS <br />The Board received the following petitions for street lights: <br />=11 <br />O A. Petition submitted by Councilman Joseph Serge for light at the <br />South end of Sherman Avenue <br />a <br />U <br />B. Petition -.submitted by Councilman Frank Horvath for lighting the 2800 and 2900 blocks of Southeast Drive. <br />C. Petition submitted by Raymond F. Bechtold for light on Clyde <br />Street, between Fairview and Victoria <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred the petitions to <br />the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for investigation and report. <br />SIGNING OF TITLE SHEET - FLORAL PLACE AND MAYFLOWER'ROAD SEWER EXTENSION <br />The Board received the title sheet for the construction of a sewer extension <br />at Floral Place and Mayflower Road. The plans have been approved by -,-the <br />Bureau of Engineering and the construction will be subject to City inspection. <br />There will be no cost to the City. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Board approved and signed the title sheet. <br />REPORT FROM JAMES A. ROEMER ON VT TRASH RECEPTACLES <br />The following memorandum was received: <br />October 18, 1973 <br />To: Board of Public Works <br />From: James A. Roemer, City Attorney <br />Subject: Trash Receptacles <br />At the direction of the Board of Public Works, I met with V T <br />Enterprises, Inc. in regard to the questions raised by Mrs. <br />Mardella Hensler at the Board of Public Works meeting on <br />October 15th. <br />Mrs. Hensler had indicated that V T Enterprises, Inc. sells their <br />receptacles. I personally met with Americo Lucchi and requested that <br />they write the attached letter which indicates that the receptacles <br />are not sold but remain the property of V T Enterprises..
