REGULAR MEETING JULY 2, 1973 <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation: <br />Lots 21, 22 and 23 of Romig's 1st Addition and Lots 24 and 25 unplotted. <br />Total net benefits $0.00 <br />Total net damages $0.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board adopted said Assessment Roll <br />and set 9:30 a.m. August 6, 1973, Room 1308 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana <br />as the date and place for hearing all persons interested in or affected by such <br />vacation. <br />REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHTING - COUNCILMAN KOPCZYNSKI <br />The Board received the following letter: <br />June 25, 1973 <br />Board of Public Works <br />County -City Building <br />13th Floor <br />South Bend, Indiana 46601 <br />Gentlemen: <br />I am requesting that the street lighting be updated in the area <br />having the following boundaries; <br />Lombardy on the East; Meadow Lane on the South; Mayflower <br />on the West; and Rowantree Place on the North. <br />Thanking you in advance for your cooperation in this matter, I <br />remain <br />Sincerely, <br />s/ Walter T. Kopczynski <br />Sixth District Councilman <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the letter was referred to the Bureau of <br />Traffic and Lighting for investigation and recommendation. <br />LETTER FROM BUREAU OF PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION RE: DERRICKSON & SONS <br />The Board received the following letter: <br />Board of Public Works <br />County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />Re: Permit No. 1994 <br />Derrickson & Sons <br />June 28, 1973 <br />Under permit number 1994, Derrickson and Sons Construction Company installed <br />a driveway at 1131 North Twyckenham Drive in the early spring of 1973. The <br />driveway was placed so as to prohibit the drainage of water along the west <br />shoulder from the north to an inlet immediately to the south of the drive. <br />Mr. Derrickson has been contacted regarding this problem by Mr. Hugh Gammon <br />of this office on a number of occasions, and on May 15, 1973 it served as <br />a basis for the denial of a release of bond request fro Derrickson & Sons. <br />(See attached copies) <br />In that we have been unable to affect a positive response on the part of <br />Derrickson & Sons Construction Company through normal procedures, we are <br />requesting that the Board of Public Works take action on this matter. <br />Very truly yours, <br />s/ Rollin E.
