REGULAR MEETING JUNE 18, 1973 Gentlemen: This department received a verbal request from Councilman Taylor for an additional street light on High Street in the vicinity of the new Synagogue, south of Donmoyer. [t is recommended that a 7,000L MV OH be installed on an existing pole. Cost: Install 1 - 7,000L MV OH WP C@ $3.75/mo. or $45.00/yr. Respectfully submitted, William J. Richardson, P.E. Wadzinski - Engineer Bureau of Traffic & Lighting - Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the above recommen- dation for an additional street light on High Street, subject to availability ii✓ of funds. Q REQUEST TO ATTEND TRAFFIC ENGINEERS DISTRICT III CONFERENCE,-.CLEM HAZINSKI U A memo was received from Clem Hazinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, requesting permission to attend the Institute of Traffic Engineers District III Conference at Angola, Indiana on Friday, June 22, 1973 and Saturday, June 23, 1973. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved Mr. Hazinski's request. REPORT ON POSTING OF "NO TRESPASSING" SIGNS ON CITY -PROPERTY was received A report/from Clem Hazinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic F. Lighting, on the Board's request for no trespassing signs along the river in the vicinity of St. Joseph and Jefferson Streets. He reported that an investigation was made with a representative of the Redevelopment Department and locations were found for three signs to state "Government Property - Keep Out"., These signs have been ordered installed. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board ordered the letter filed. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon motion made, seconded and.carried, the Board approved the following traffic control devices: New installation of a stop sign on Bulia Street at Wellington. Increased volume and street improvements warrant such installation. Replace yield with stop sign on the northeast corner on Washington Street at Hawthorne. .Sight distance no longer sufficient for a yield sign instal- lation. New installation of a stop sign on Fairfax at Miami. Increased volume at this intersection with Miami which is an arterial warrants installation. HOWELL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. - CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE A certificate of insurance for the Howell Construction Co., Inc. was received by the Board and upon motion made, seconded, and carried was referred to.the,Legal Department for investigation and report back to the Board. CONTRACTOR'S AND EXCAVATION BONDS APPROVED The Board received a recommendation from Mr. Raymond Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineer- ing that the following bonds have been investigated and can be approved: , Contractor's Bond - Floyd J. & Al Wachowiak to 12/31/73 Contractor's -Bond Boerich Construction to 5/30/74 Contractor's Bond - Dye Plumbing & Heating to 5/11/74 Excavation Bond - Dye Plumbing & Heating to 1/10/74 Excavation Bond - Dells Plumbing Service to 12/31/73 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the Bonds.
