Richardson
s/ James V. Barcome
s/ James R. Seitz
Mr. Richardson explained that the E.D.A. will participate 1001% only in the lowest
of the two pavement alternates. Since the bids came in so far below the engineer-
ing estimates, E.D.A. has given some indication that they will participate in
Pavement Alternate B. Even if they don't, there is sufficient money available in
the funding for the City to go ahead with the concrete pavement. Mr. Gerald Phipps,
of Clyde E. Williams & Associates, explained that the two deductive alternates are
mulching and a cul de sac street, which is the extension of New Foundation Drive.
The recommendation is that, in order to get the concrete pavement and keep the cost
in budget, these two items would be deleted and the contract awarded. 1.
AWARDING OF BID - R & S 51 - SAMPLE STREET
The Board received a recommendation from David A. Wells, Assistant City Engineer,
that the Rieth-Riley Construction Company should be awarded the bid on Project R
& S 51, Sample Street on their low bid of $172,845.40. Upon motion made, seconded
and carried, the bid was awarded to Rieth-Riley.
REQUEST FOR BIDS - KEY CONTROLLED FUEL DISPENSING SYSTEM
The Board received a request from William J.
