REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 23, 1973 <br />1 <br />1 <br />RESOLUTION - GILMER PARK SEWER <br />Mr. Richardson explained to the Board that the Gilmer Park Sewer System was <br />built with money from the Cumulative Sewer Building Fund. At that time, a <br />Resolution was passed assessing everybody who hooked,in to the sewer 7t a foot. <br />It is their opinion that this was an error and that they did not mean that <br />everybody should pay this 7C a foot. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, <br />the Board adopted the following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11-1973 <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />WHEREAS: The Board of Public Works and Safety established a connection <br />charge to the Gilmer Park Sewer by adopting Resolution No. <br />6-14-71, and <br />WHEREAS: The cost of said sewer was paid for out of funds known as <br />Cumulative Sewer Building &. Sinking Fund and not assessed <br />against the property owners, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; <br />1. That the fee for direct connection to the above described <br />sewer from property adjacent to the trunk sewer shall be <br />at the rate of seven (7) cents per square foot up to a depth <br />of 150 feet from the property line closest to the sewer, and <br />2. That there shall be no trunk sewer connection fee for <br />local lateral sewers which are constructed and connected <br />to this trunk sewer. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ William J. Barcome <br />ATTEST: <br />s/ Patricia DeClercq, Clerk <br />Dated this 23 day of April, 1973. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS FROM BUREAU OF TRAFFIC AND LIGHTING RE: PARADE REQUESTS <br />The following recommendations were received from Clem Hazinski, Manager: <br />SALVATION ARMY - Approval recommended for parade Easter Sunday morning. <br />This would be marchers only. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Board approved the recommendation. <br />ST. JOSEPH COUNTY MEMORIAL SOCIETY - Approval is recommended for the annual <br />Memorial Day Parade on May 28, 1973 at 2:00 p.m. Route <br />and assembly areas have been worked out and the Police <br />Department will coordinate their efforts with the Bureau <br />of Traffic and Lighting. Indemnity requirements have <br />been met. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the <br />Board approved the recommendation. <br />MAURICE MATTHYS LITTLE LEAGUE - Approval is recommended for a motorized parade <br />for the Maurice Matthys Little League on May 19, 1973 at 9:00 a.m. The route <br />is okay and the police are to be notified to escort. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and carried, the Board approved the recommendation. <br />
