REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 23, 1973 <br />RIDE -A -BIKE FOR THE RETARDED - Approval is recommended for the Ride -A -Bike for <br />the retarded program for Sunday, April 29, 1973. The direction of travel in <br />the route has been reversed to provide for all right turns. Civil Defense <br />police are to assist. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board <br />approved the recommendation. <br />MEMO FROM BUREAU OF TRAFFIC & LIGHTING RE: PARKING RESTRICTION ON MIAMI <br />The Board received the following memo: <br />April 19, 1973 <br />To: Board of Works <br />From: Bureau of Traffic & Lighting, Clem Hazinski, Manager <br />Subject: Parking Restriction on Miami <br />A meeting was held with Park Department officials and Mr. <br />Barcome, City Controller, on Saturday, April 14, 1973 at Erskine <br />Park golf course. <br />Several possibilities of constructing off-street parking facilities <br />were discussed. Work on this will continue. <br />In the meantime, it is recommended that until such time asti_--this <br />project is resolved, that parking be prohibited on the east side of <br />Miami with eventual restriction on the west side. Such restructions <br />to be installed when capacity demands occur with the opening of.the <br />Scottsdale Mall. <br />Mr. Richardson moved that this be sent with Board approval to Mr. Hazinski <br />for study of the necessary ordinance to restrict parking. There was no <br />second to the motion. After a discussion, this matter was tabled for further <br />study. <br />BID OPENING - AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL PARK - PHASE <br />It now being the hour of 10:00 a.m. of the date set for receiving bids for <br />the Airport Industrial Park, Phase III, the bids were opened and publicly <br />read, proofs of publication on March 23 and 30 and April 6 and 13 being <br />presented. Mr. Richardson explained that he would read the total amount of <br />the base bid for Alternate A and Alternate B and the entire bid would be <br />available for inspection. <br />All bidders acknowledged receipt of Addendums 1, 2 and 3, non -collusion <br />affidavit was filed, bid bond, bidders certification, Form 96A and <br />Certification of Non -Segregated Facilities accompanied all bids. <br />H.
