O A U REGULAR MEETING APRIL 2, 1973 CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE - HOWELL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY The Board received a Certificate Of Insurance from the Howell Construction Company for the South Main Street Storm Sower Project #CS-3-1972, effective until 6/19/73. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board ordered the Certificate filed. REQUEST FOR RELEASE OF EXCAVATION BOND FOR MAX OCHS The Forbes -Varner Insurance Agency has requested the release of the Excavation Bond for Max Ochs. The Board referred this request do the Bureau of Engineering for investigation and report. REQUEST FOR RELEASE OF CONTRACTORS BOND FOR MUTA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY Mr. Raymond Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that the Contractor's Bond for Muia Construction Company could be released as of this date. There was also a request for release of the Occupancy Bond for the same Company and this was referred to the Bureau of Buildings and Permits for checking. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board released the Contractor's Bond. EXCAVATION BOND CONTINUATION CERTIFICATE - GEORGE DEVREESE The Bureau of Engineering notified the Board that a Street Department claim for $80.00 for barricades and bombs put up for George DeVreese had been paid and, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the Continuation Certificate for the Excavation Bind for George DeVreese to l/l/74. CONTINUATION CERTIFICATES - LEON YODER CUSTOM HOMES AND POWERS PLUMBING The Bureau of Engineering reported to the Board that they had investigated the Continuation Certificates for Leon Yoder Custom Homes and for Richard Powers d/b/a Powers Plumbing and Heating Company, Inc, and recommended approval. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the certificates as follows: EXCAVATION - Richard Powers d/b/a Powers Plumbing & Heating to 12/31/73 CONTRACTOR - Leon Yoder Custom Homes to 3/22/74 PETITION TO VACATE ALLEY - ADJACENT TO 1344 E. WAYNE STREET, SOUTH Jerome B. Kearns, by his Attorney Charles A. Sweeney, Jr., files his petition for the vacation of the alley that runs in a north -south direction adjacent to the property known as 1344 E. Wayne South, from East Wayne South to the east -west alley between East Wayne South and Sunnymede Streets in the City of South Bend. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred to the Engineering Department for preliminary investigation and report to the Board. RESOLUTION RE: ONE WAY PAIR OF MICHIGAN STREET & MAIN STREET Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following resolution was adopted: RESOLUTION NO. 10-1973 WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has found it necessary in the best interest of the public safety and convenience to redesignate certain streets in the City of South Bend, and WHEREAS, the changes in such streets hereto named are compatible with the restructuring of the downtown area of South Bend, WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works, in accordance with the regulations oftthe regulations of the Indiana State Highway Commission respectfully submits the following, therefore,
