O <br />A <br />U <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 2, 1973 <br />CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE - HOWELL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY <br />The Board received a Certificate Of Insurance from the Howell Construction <br />Company for the South Main Street Storm Sower Project #CS-3-1972, effective <br />until 6/19/73. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board ordered the <br />Certificate filed. <br />REQUEST FOR RELEASE OF EXCAVATION BOND FOR MAX OCHS <br />The Forbes -Varner Insurance Agency has requested the release of the Excavation <br />Bond for Max Ochs. The Board referred this request do the Bureau of Engineering <br />for investigation and report. <br />REQUEST FOR RELEASE OF CONTRACTORS BOND FOR MUTA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY <br />Mr. Raymond Andrysiak, Bureau of Engineering, reported to the Board that the <br />Contractor's Bond for Muia Construction Company could be released as of this date. <br />There was also a request for release of the Occupancy Bond for the same Company <br />and this was referred to the Bureau of Buildings and Permits for checking. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board released the Contractor's Bond. <br />EXCAVATION BOND CONTINUATION CERTIFICATE - GEORGE DEVREESE <br />The Bureau of Engineering notified the Board that a Street Department claim for <br />$80.00 for barricades and bombs put up for George DeVreese had been paid and, <br />upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the Continuation <br />Certificate for the Excavation Bind for George DeVreese to l/l/74. <br />CONTINUATION CERTIFICATES - LEON YODER CUSTOM HOMES AND POWERS PLUMBING <br />The Bureau of Engineering reported to the Board that they had investigated the <br />Continuation Certificates for Leon Yoder Custom Homes and for Richard Powers <br />d/b/a Powers Plumbing and Heating Company, Inc, and recommended approval. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the certificates as <br />follows: <br />EXCAVATION - Richard Powers d/b/a Powers Plumbing & Heating to 12/31/73 <br />CONTRACTOR - Leon Yoder Custom Homes to 3/22/74 <br />PETITION TO VACATE ALLEY - ADJACENT TO 1344 E. WAYNE STREET, SOUTH <br />Jerome B. Kearns, by his Attorney Charles A. Sweeney, Jr., files his petition <br />for the vacation of the alley that runs in a north -south direction adjacent to <br />the property known as 1344 E. Wayne South, from East Wayne South to the east -west <br />alley between East Wayne South and Sunnymede Streets in the City of South Bend. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred to the <br />Engineering Department for preliminary investigation and report to the Board. <br />RESOLUTION RE: ONE WAY PAIR OF MICHIGAN STREET & MAIN STREET <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the following resolution was adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10-1973 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend has found it <br />necessary in the best interest of the public safety and convenience <br />to redesignate certain streets in the City of South Bend, and <br />WHEREAS, the changes in such streets hereto named are compatible with the <br />restructuring of the downtown area of South Bend, <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works, in accordance with the regulations oftthe <br />regulations of the Indiana State Highway Commission respectfully <br />submits the following, therefore, <br />
