I 16 3/5/73 Warrants exist for traffic signalization in the redevelopment area (R-66) at the following new intersections: 1. Western Ave. & St. Joseph Street 2. Wayne Street & St. Joseph Street 3. Jefferson Street & St. Joseph Street 4. Washington Street & St. Joseph Street 5. Colfax Avenue & St. Joseph Street 6. Monroe and Columbia 7. Western and Columbia Street It is recommended that the Board of Works approve such installation and that such approval be entered in the minutes of the Board. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommendation of Mr. Hazinski and approved the installations. MEMO FROM BUREAU OF TRAFFIC AND LIGHTING RE:., ONE WAY PAIR - MAIN AND MICHIGAN The following memo was received from Mr. Clem Hazinski, Director, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting: TO: BOARD OF WORKS FROM: BUREAU OF TRAFFIC & LIGHTING - CFH SUBJECT: ONE WAY PAIR OF MAIN AND MICHIGAN Plans are presently being made to upgrade the signalization on Main Street between South Street and Chippewa and on Michigan between Chippewa and Monroe Street. Upon completion of the final plans it is recommended that the Board of Works designate Main Street as one way south, and Michigan be designated as one way north at the boundaries described above. It is further recommended that such approval be entered in the minutes of the Board of Works and that a public hearing on this project be held before the Board of Works at a date determined by that body. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommendation and directed the Clerk to advertise for a public hearing on this matter to be held on Monday, March 19, 1973 at 9:30 a.m. in the Board Hearing Room at the regular meeting of the Board of Public Works. UREAU OF TRAFF HIGHWAY COMMISSION RE: IGHTING RE: RESOLUTION TO INDIANA IR OF MAIN STREET & MICHIGAN STREE The following memo was received from Mr. Clem Hazinski, Director, Bureau of Traffic and Lighting: TO: BOARD OF WORKS FROM: BUREAU OF TRAFFIC & LIGHTING SUBJECT: RESOLUTION TO INDIANA STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION REFERENCE ONE WAY PAIR OF MAIN STREET & MICHIGAN STREET In accordance with regulations of the Indiana State Highway Commission a resolution should be sent to the District Engineer, LaPorte District, Indiana State Highway Commission recommending approval by the district of the following: 1. That Main Street be designated as "One Way" south from South Street to Chippewa and also be designated as U.S. 31 2. That Michigan Street which is U.S.31 be designated as "One Way" north from Chippewa to Monroe Street where it continues north on St. Joseph Street.
