Olive and Sample - repair where spikes protrude 8. 1500 Western - recommend paving over abandoned rails - possibly with State highway cooperation. 9. 1500 Prairie --repair broken rails and remove three sets of superfluous tracks 10. 200 W. Calvert - look into possible removal of some rails and "patch rest of crossing. Mr. Beard also reiterated a previous agreement with the City that in case of emergency need of'repairs such as chuckholes, that the -Bureau of Streets can patch and then the Penn Central railroad will compensate. This Bureau will observe progress made on repair and maintenance and report periodically. COMPLAINT - COUNCILMAN KOPCZYNSKI - ABANDONED PICK-UP TRUCK A complaint was received from Councilman Walter Kopczynski in regard to an abandoned pick-up truck on West Sample Street, just west of Evergreen Lane. The truck has been in this location for a month. Upon -motion made, seconded and carried, the Board referred this matter to Mr. Watsey Gauldin, Inspector, Junk Vehicles, for his immediate investigation. EXCAVATION AND CONTRACTOR'S BONDS APPROVED A memo was received from the Bureau of Engineering wherein they state the following bonds should be continued: Contractor's - Nander Mago to 12/31173 Contractor's - Northern Indiana Public Service Co. to 12/31/73 Contractor's - George T. Saff d/b/a Saff Construction Co. to 12/31173 Contractor's - Donald Marshall - to l/l/74 Contractor's - Hubert Woodcox d/b/a Woodcox Building Co. to 12/31/73 Contractor's - John D. Skiles d/b/a Skiles Construction Co. to 2/5/74 Contractor's - Bradberry Brothers, Inc. to 12/31/73 Excavation --- R. E. Carlton to 1/1/74 Excavation --- Wendel F. Dazell to 12/31/73 Excavation --- Ideal Consolidated, Inc. to 12/31173 Excavation --- Raymond Guzman d/b/a/ABC Plumbing, Inc. to 12/31/73 Excavation --- S & W Construction Company to 12/14/73 Excavation --- Bradberry Brothers, Inc. to 12/27/73 Upon motion made, seconded and carried the Board approved the continuances. CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE - MORSE ELECTRIC CO., INC. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, a Certificate of Insurance for Morse Electric Co., Inc. was approved. CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE - PATRICK J. BURNS Upon motion made, seconded and carried, a Certificate of Insurance for Patrick J. Burns was approved. REPORT FROM DONALD GERMANN, CIVIL DEFENSE DIRECTOR Mr. Donald Germann, Civil Defense Director, reported to the Board that complete figures on the cost of flood control and snow removal have been compiled by the Civil Defense office for submission to the Governor's office. There is a possibility that a part of this money may be returned from federal funds.
