Upon motion made, seconded and <br />carried, the Clerk was directed to advertise on January 19 and 26 and <br />receive bids on January 29, 1973. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3371-72 - ASSESSMENT ROLL HEARING CONTINUED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, this hearing was tabled until <br />further notice. <br />VACATION PETITION FILED - HARRY FEIN & F. THOMAS CHRISTIAN (McDonald's) <br />Harry Fein and F. Thomas Christian, by their attorney, Frederick K. Baer, <br />802 First Bank Building, South Bend, Indiana, file their petition for the <br />vacation of the East-West alley running between .Lots 138 and 139 in the <br />Original Plat of South Bend, from the East right-of-way line of Michigan <br />Street in an Easterly direction_ to the first North and South cross alley, <br />all in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred to the <br />Engineering Department for study and recommendation to the Board. <br />VACATION PETITION FILED - DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT (DOWNTOWN RENEWAL AREA) <br />Charles F. Lennon, Jr., Director, Department of Redevelopment of the City <br />of South Bend, files their petition for the vacation of: <br />A. Alley., sometimes known as Hibbard Court, between Washington <br />Street and Jefferson Boulevard, running West from Michigan <br />Street to the East line of the North -South alley between <br />Michigan and Main Streets, a distance of one hundred sixty- <br />five (165) feet. <br />B. Alley, sometimes known as Hibbard Court, between Washington <br />Street and Jefferson Boulevard, running East from Michigan <br />Street to the West line of the North -South alley between <br />Michigan and St. Joseph Streets, a distance of one hundred <br />sixty-five feet. <br />Mr. Richardson explained that this petition has already been studied by <br />the Bureau of Engineering and moved that it be referred directly to the <br />Area Plan Commission for their study and recommendation.
