1/15/73 <br />Mr. Steed brought to the attention of the Board the following sub- <br />standard structures: <br />1506 S. High St. <br />511 E. South St. <br />1607 S. Marietta <br />720 George Avenue <br />610-614 S. Fellows St. <br />1013-1015 S. Carroll St. <br />Owner: <br />Davis Realty Company <br />Irving H. and Luba Minkow <br />Anne Rubin, et al <br />Harold C. and Dolores Personette <br />Robett E. Hester <br />Arquilla Cannady <br />Majer & Rose Zarnoviecki <br />Upon motion made, seconded and_ carried, Mr. Steed was authorized to bring <br />the above persons before the Board to show cause why the various structures <br />should not be demolished. . <br />307 Hamden Court Mr. Irving J. Smith was present as executor of the <br />estate of Bessie Soloff and informed the Board that they have no objection <br />and, in fact, concur in the decision that this building should be demolished. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board authorized Mr. Steed to <br />advertise for bids for the demolition of the structure at 307 Hamden Court. <br />1505 Lebanon Street Darlene Gibson, having been requested to appear before <br />the Board to show cause why the structure at 1505 Lebanon Street should not <br />be demolished, not having appeared, upon motion made, seconded and carried <br />Mr. Steed was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the structure at <br />1505 Lebanon Street. <br />1124 W. Napier Street Paul G. Eichorst and Mary M. Eichorst, having been <br />requested to appear before the Board to show cause why the structure at <br />1124 W. Napier Street should not be demolished, not having appeared,,upon motion <br />made, seconded and carried Mr. Steed was authorized to seek bids for the <br />demolition of the structure at 1124 W. Napier Street. <br />REQUEST OF UNITED STATES ARMY RECRUITERS TO PLACE SIGNS IN SOUTH BEND <br />Sgt. Ronald E. Owner presented a letter asking Board permissjon to place <br />recruiting signs for -the United States Army in the City of South Bend. <br />After a discussion of the location of the signs, it was the decision of <br />the Board that the matter be referred to Mr. Clem Hazinski, Director of <br />Traffic and Lighting, and to Mr. Stanley Przybylinski, Manager of the <br />Municipal Services Facility to study this matter and make recommendations <br />to the Board. <br />BIDS ON CITY VEHICLES <br />It was called.to the attention of the Board that a portion of the Freeman - <br />Spicer bid was not read when the bids were opened earlier.
