I would appreciate Board action on this problem immediately. ACTION REQUEST FOR HELP IN INSTALLING FIRE ESCAPE A letter was received from ACTION, -INC. REQuesting help in the installation of a fire escape on the Northeast Neighborhood Center, 803 North Notre Dame Avenue, formerly the #6 Fire Station. Upon motion made, seconded and carried the request was sent to Mr. Przyzylinski of the Municipal Services Building to see if he can furnish the labor. LETTERS FROM COUNCILMAN WALTER KOPCZYNSKI The following letters were received from Councilman Kopczynski: November 27, 1972 Board of Public Works County City Building South Bend, Indiana Re: Discards at Charitable Containers Gentlemen: It has been brought to my attention that many large articles that are in the useless trash category and not salvagable objects, and dont fit in containers provided by charitable institutions have been littering private properties, and many times this same trash finds its way into the street, alleys and other public places. I want to request the Board of Works to take necessary action to stop this type of littering. I also request the Legal Department to draw up an ordinance regul- ating charitable salvage collection in the City of South Bend.
