12/4/72 <br />Some time ago this Board rescinded contracts awarded to Mr. Bryant <br />for the demolition of structures, and later on the Board allowed Mr. <br />Bryant to proceed with three contracts. Mr. Bryant is to keep in <br />touch with Mr. Steed and let him know as soon as the three contracts <br />are completed, and at that time the Board will review the status of <br />the remaining contracts. <br />607 Pennsylvania John C. Guisinger telephoned the Board to state <br />that he is having the structure at 607 Pennsylvania Avenue demolished <br />privately. <br />502-504 East Wenger Street Edward De Blase and Christine De Blase, <br />1214 South Fellows Street, appeared before the Board and stated they <br />had no objection to the building at 502-504 East Wenger Street being <br />demolished, but they wished to retain the garages at the rear of the <br />lot. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized <br />to seek bids for the demolition of the building at 502-504 East Wenger <br />Street, but not to demolish the garages. <br />127 East Ohio Streeet Mr. Steed informed the Board that the building <br />at 127 East Ohio Street was being demolished privately. <br />1117 East Bissell Street Florence Fisette, Executrix of the Estate <br />of Anna B. Damp; Norman Damp; Mrs. Fred Damp appeared before the Board <br />to state they had no objections to the property at 1117 East Bissell <br />Street being demolished, but they did not wish the pole in the yard <br />to be taken down. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed <br />was authorized to seek bids for the -demolition of the structure at <br />1117 East Bissell Street, but not to let the pole in the back yeard <br />be taken as salvage. <br />1608-1612 Prairie Avenue Sam Bernstein having been requested to <br />appear before the Board to show cause why the structure at 1608-- <br />1612 Prairie Avenue should not be demolished, and Mr. Bernstein <br />not having appeared, upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. <br />Steed was authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the building <br />at 1608-1612 Prairie Avenue. <br />620 Clinton Street Mr. Kenneth Slack, having been requested to <br />appear before the Board to show cause why the structure at 620 <br />Clinton Street should not be demolished, and Mr. Slacl not having <br />appeared, upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed is now <br />authorized to seek bids for the demolition of the structure at <br />620 Clinton Street. <br />613 South Clinton Street Mr. Bernard Beghtel and Dorothy Billey, <br />appeared before the Board as requested and stated they had no <br />objection to the structure at 613 Clinton Street being demolished. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, Mr. Steed was authorized <br />to seek bids for the demolition of the structure. <br />2221 Smith Street Mr. Durwood Elliott, 1130 East Cedar Street <br />appeared before the Board to state he is working on the building <br />at 2221 Smith Street. The matter was continued for one week <br />at which time, Mr. Elliott is to bring complete estimates to the <br />Board to show how much it will cost to bring the house up to <br />standard. <br />202 East Pennsylvania This matter was contined for one week and <br />the Clerk was instructed to write to Mr. Duncan to inform him. <br />535 South Taylor Mrs. Esther Littow was to appear before the Board <br />to inform them as to the work done on the building at 535 South <br />Taylor. Mrs. Littow not having appeared the matter wascontinued for <br />one week, and Mrs. Littow is to be informed. <br />2108 Linden Avenue A letter was received from Rev. Kenneth Maley, CSC <br />
