11/13/72 No remonstrators having appeared and no written remonstrances having been filed, upon motion made, seconded and carried, the said Resolution adopted. on October 30, 1972, is ratified and confirmed and said streets and al .rays closed. The City Engineer is now directed to prepare an assessment roll showing the award of damages and the assessments of benefits to the surrounding properties. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR URBAN RENEWAL PHASE II C APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and carried, plans and specifications for Urban Renewal Phace II C were approved. CAMP FIRE GIRLS REQUEST The following letter was received by the Board through it's Chairman Mr. Sweeney: November 3, 1972 Board of Public Works and Safety c/o Mr. Charles Sweeney 13th floor, County City Building South Bend, Indiana 46601 Dear Mr. Sweeney: The South Bend Camp Fire Girls have received permission from the St. Joseph Bank to again this year use their downtown bank plaza for our "Mitten Tree: program. The program is to be on Sunday, December 10 at 2:00 P.M. The program was very successful last year and we wish to repeat it again this year. Two Christmas trees will be erected on the plaza and the Blue Birds, Camp Fire Girls, Discovery Club and Horizon Club girls will donate and decorate these trees with mittens -and socks. Mr. Fitzgerald of the South Bend Community School Corporation will accept these articles to be distributed to the needy in the community. I have spoken to Mr. John Kazel of the Chamber of Commerce and Mt. Loren Bussert of the South Bend Police Department and they are most willing to ;co-operate with us.
