162 11/6/72 625 Walnut Street This being the date set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structure at 625 Walnut Street, the following bids were opened and publicly read: Michiana Builders $685.00 O'Neal Trucking Co. 625:00 B & J Demolition , 600.00 Mr. Marvin Groves, 1223 West Thomas Street, South Bend appeared before the Board and said he was working on the rehabilitation of the structure. Mr. Steed was directed to inspect the dwelling and report back on it at the next meeting. The bids were ordered held up. 2422 Linden Avenue This being the date set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structure at 2422 Linden Avenue the following bids were opened and publicly read: Michiana Builders $685.00 O'Neal Trucking 625.00 B & J Demolition 500.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award was made to B & J Demolition on its low bid of $500.00. 114 North Shore Drive A letter was received from Builder's United Enterprises, Inc., 1530 Kemble Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, wherein they stated they are interested in purchasing the house on a 235-1 program. They would bring the house up to standard and then sell it. They requested a ninety (90) continuance to make all arrange- ments with HUD. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board granted a thirty (30) day continuance, and asked that a written committment from HUD to show their intent in the matter. Therefore, the Building Commissioner, as agent for the owners or persons described having an interest in said property, does hereby advertise and solicit bids for the following work and conditions: A. General Conditions 1. Demolition of the above described building in its entirely and including the removal of the following: accessory buildings and sheds, sidewalks, driveways, slabs, fences retaining walls, basements, dead trees, bushes and all other such items that might be a part of the property that should be removed.
