10/30/72 2507 Linden Avenue This being the date set for receiving bids for the demolition of the structure at 2507 Linden Avenue, the following bids were opened and read: Non -collusion affidavits were in proper order. O'Neal Trucking Company $999.00 B & J Demolition 550.00 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the award was made to the J & J Demolition company on its low bid of $550.00. The Redevelopment Commission made a progress report on the properties under its jurisdiction as follows: 735 N. Hill Street -This house is being rehabilitated. Matter is continued and house will be kept under surveillance. 721 N. Eddy Tenants are being relocated. Continue one week. 728 N. Hill Street This matter is continued for one week. 615 Howard Street People are being relocated. Continued one week. 742 North Frances. People are being relocated. House will be demolished. 726 N. Frances Street People are being relocated. Continued one week. 413 St. Vincent Street House has been rehabilitated. 628 Hill Street People to be relocated. Continued one week. 701 North Eddy Street Redevelopment Commission will seek bids to demolish property. 703 North Frances Redevelopment Commission will seek bids for demolishing property. 712 N. Hill Street These people are scheduled for a loan interview. Continued one week. VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3370 1972 - STREETS AND ALLEYS IN MERRY AVENUE PROJECT Area Plan Commission having filed with the Board it's favorable recomm- endation for the vacation of streets and alleys in the Merry Avenue Urban Renewal area, the following Resolution is now adopted: VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3370,1972 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, That it is desirable to vacate the following: Streets and alleys in the Merry Avenue Urban Renewal Area Reserving the rights and easements of all Utilities, and the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain any facilities, including, but not limited to, the following: electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches, within the vacated right of way, unless such rights are re- leased by the individual Utilities.
